I have the feeling panthers are taking espn's "rebuilding" remarks to heart. I hope the Panthers don't go the Glazer's route in Tampa and become super cheap. I'm afraid they might. Quickest way to lose fans, is if they believe you aren't serious about winning.

John Fox is a "lame-duck" coach, but will we have a "lame-duck" team?

It's a free country Bro... you don't have to pay... If you don't want to support then don't Watch.

Richardson is a good owner....

Correction.... While JJ and Snyder Continue to overspend for under acheiving teams

Whens the last time money bought them a superbowl, nfc championship, or even more than 1 playoff wins???

Dude relax all I'm saying is if you are not putting the same product on the field and trying too save money. You can't expect your customers not too be angry. Without Pep their will need too be anjustment too our Def. The Defence we all are happy about just lost a big cog. All I'm saying is we should have the money too atleast get a FA DE and Wr. We shouldn't come out FA without trying too patch some holes. The money Richardson is not paying Pep shouldn't just be sitting their. You can't tell me that you won't be a little pissed off if we do nothing in FA. We're already losing a probowl player with no compensation. This FO has too do somthing too show the fans they are still interested in being panthers and will do what it takes too put a winner on the field.

First of all, learn the difference between to and too.

Second of all, as long as we re-sign everyone other than Pep and grab some good young players in the draft I will be happy. You have to realize that football is a business and JR is going to make smart business decisions. Don't expect them to spend a lot of money this year with the treat of a lock out looming, it just doesn't make good business sense for the franchise and ultimately the only way this franchise will ever win a championship is by making good business decisions.

I won't be pissed!! You have to understand the dynamics of the NFL. If we over spend for playmaking FA DE and WR now.... then we WILL NOT have the money and cap space to resign our stay blossoming players on our team when it is time for their new contract!!

I've got a feeling they will be going after mid-level free agents willing to sign a one year deal. Bringing back players like Tyler Brayton and Kedrick Vincent and other new additions for a single season makes the most financial sense. I think a lockout's chances in 2011 have gone over 50/50 now.

What about Vernon Gholston. He hadn't worked out for the Jets as an olb but perhaps could fill in a pass rush need. He may have great value as a de, just not what it takes upstairs to be a olb in Rex Ryan system. All the Jets fans are dying for him to be cut to save costs since he hasn't registered a sack in three years in order to cap space. besides there's always Julius peppers who's out there, wants to play for a winner and a 4/3

As we'll see in other threads, Hurney said today in his press conference that they "build through the draft" when asked about FA and also when asked about a WR. He also said they don't know who they starting QB is. But the reporters got the vibe that there will be little splash in free agency.

yeah, Fox has no clue:rolleyes:.......Jake was probably over as Foxy's house last night drinking beers and talking about how they plan to prove everyone wrong and that last year was a fluke.

It's hard to build throught the draft without a 1st round pick.

Well I hope all this fiscal restraint doesn't mean I have too pay too see a suckass team beacuse Richardson wants too be spot man on this labor issue. While JJ and Snyder build winning teams. I think we need too atleast use some of the money on replacements for Pep and WR help for smith and Moore. No matter what people think about Pep their is nobody on this team as it stands that can replace that kind of production and impact.

the steelers, patriots and colts have won a total of 6 superbowls this decade, been to 8, and have been knocking each other around in the postseason all year long like 2 chinese ping pong players. not to mention they play in the vastly superior AFC and pretty much dominating on a year-in year-out basis... all while making almost no big signings in free agency. the redskins and cowboys have done what again? make the playoffs a few times? the only reason they still have such a large fanbase is because those owners shove oodles of sparkle and pizazz down their fans throat's. also, a lot of the fans for those teams aren't even big football fans, and just claim them as their team for the name alone.
