Now will we be a player In FA.

I think we will. For the past two years, Fox and Hurney have been on the hot seat and have at least attempted to bring in some impact players (moreso 2008 than last year).

I wouldn't be surprised if we went after a big name wide-receiver through free agency.

I kind of felt the same, but you have to remember the lockout getting closer and closer. If we go after a big name, it's unlikely they would just want a throw away contract...

Just really hard to say with a lot of things changing.

I don't see a big contract without a labor deal.

Richardson is trying to pinch pennies with this 2011 year looming.

Exactly he is practicing fiscal restraint and responsibility....

The top players will get into huge FA bidding wars and their value will be inflated... As we will find out today, Richardson is not going to over play... We will bring in some low key role players as we usually do.

Lame duck coach and GM with the threat of a lockout in 2011 makes me think no. The same reason why we aren't going to rush to lock up more but we will 1st round tender him. It would be difficult to pass on Kampman but ultimately I think the team we have now will look a lot like the team that takes the field in 2010.

Well I hope all this fiscal restraint doesn't mean I have too pay too see a suckass team beacuse Richardson wants too be spot man on this labor issue. While JJ and Snyder build winning teams. I think we need too atleast use some of the money on replacements for Pep and WR help for smith and Moore. No matter what people think about Pep their is nobody on this team as it stands that can replace that kind of production and impact.

It's a free country Bro... you don't have to pay... If you don't want to support then don't Watch.

Richardson is a good owner....

Correction.... While JJ and Snyder Continue to overspend for under acheiving teams

Whens the last time money bought them a superbowl, nfc championship, or even more than 1 playoff wins???

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
