From a number 1 draft pick? You damn right I expect better than a lazy ass walk back and his feet facing the sideline when it's time to throw a pass.

Trevor Lawrence wasn’t  perfect footwork either day 1..

Its official bryce younf is in the record books lowest ypa in nfl history for a qb.  I would hope they at least bring in some competitive for him but oh well if he starts all next year at least we get the number 1 overall and of course the bears get 33 overall

Bc before that game their Joe Berry led D was a joke. Looking at a ton of Green Bay posts on twitter every fan was calling for him to be fired. I believe last year, Berry turned poo around at the end of the season just like this. My guess, them getting torched by the panthers O woke them up. Bryce still played great that game.

Used to be the banner game was the one where we beat CJ Stroud and the Texans with Eddie's leg.

Now it's a loss against one of the worst secondaries in the league that surrendered 4 (FOUR) passing touchdowns to Baker Mayfield who led his offense to 9 total points today against a Panthers defense that gave up 26 points to a Trevor Lawrenceless offense last week.

You just can't talk sense to some of the people who want to believe despite quantifiable data.

Yeah didn’t baker have a perfect passer rating against them and Tommy Cutlets go off?

I'm hoping whoever is the next coach comes with the condition that he can take a swing a QB in this draft. It's gonna be hard sledding with Bryce next year. He can read the field, but he just cannot make the throws. There is just no deep threat whatsoever. He can't make the big throws down field which is killing the offense.

Pray tell me when Bryce Young has had enough time to hit short routes, must less the longer ones that have our inept receivers well covered, even if he had time to throw to them.

I’m not going to sit here and clown on this kid because I’m at least aware that he’s going to be our QB for at least next season. And I’d much rather him improve and pump some life into the offense as opposed to continuing like this.

Now my confidence in him is unbelievably low right now. But I hope I’m wrong

Unlike the people here who want to label Bryce a bust after one season( kind of like everyone did with Derrick Brown) I’m holding out hope that Tepper will actually listen to the firm he hired to help with the GM/HC search. I’m holding out hope that with better coaching, better players Bryce will prove the doubters wrong.

Why are people writing off the Green Bay game? After Bryce put up 300 on they gave up 19 total points over the next two games and neither quarterback went over 150 yards.

Mainly because it was 1 out of 17 games. It was also followed by two complete duds.

Do you always talk out of your ass? Sure, Trevor's footwork wasn't 'perfect', but it sure as hell a lot better than the 12U Pop Warner level footwork that Bryce currently has.

People just need to stop being so vested in him one way or another. He is almost certainly our QB next year so I hope we give him some talent and he looks the part. If he doesn’t we just swing again in 2025 hopefully without trading away picks/players and actually have a decent offense for whomever to work with.
We have been too QB obsessed IMO. Paid Teddy a dumb contract and cut him after a year, traded for Darnold while picking up his 5th year option, traded for Baker and cut him midseason, and then traded away all of our offensive weapons to draft a rookie QB.
Baker was awful here and looks solid at TB. Why is this? Because they have actually built a decent offense that a QB can work with. The most yards Baker put up with us was 235 against his former team. 5 of his 7 games he threw for under 200. Oh and he had DJ and CMC (for most of his games). We have to address this whole offense and stop chasing QBs. Otherwise we could be stuck in this cycle forever.

How many times do I have to repeat myself? Get this through that thick skull of yours: sacks are more of a QB stat, which is why they are listed on QB stat sheets.

Arrogant and misleading.  Dangerous combination. I really think your ability to muster courage behind a fake name on a discussion board has overwhelmed your circuitry. Regardless, I do not pretend to be smarter than others by referring to anyone who disagrees with me as having a thick skull.  The fact is, you are being intentionally misleading--sacks are a QB stat but not one they often use to evaluate QBs--completion percentage, interception rate, YPA, etc are usually the standard--Sacks, however, are a key OL measure, and you seem to disregard that obvious point because it is not consistent with your theory--something you choose to ignore so you can pout and rant and make people think you know what you are talking about.  I gave you facts and stats--offensive line statistics related to sacks---and you give me an answer that ignores these facts and stats and you repeat yourself.  Silly person.  The worst left side of the OL (T, G, C) in the NFL. based on SACKS and you say they were not bad.  Not arguing with someone who skips over facts and statistics.  If you want to challenge my points, find some Offensive linemen stats that do not include sacks allowed.  Post  the link here.  If you can't, STFU.

    • What I really learned here is that the Carolina Panthers aren't anywhere near as bad as I initially thought they were earlier this year.  We've got a young and growing offense with some promising parts. But it still needs some tweaks and improvements.  We really still could still use a dominant #1 WR. But Chubba,  Legette, Coker,  and J.Sanders have generally looked decent. Bryce took a big leap after the benching. We can score enough points to keep pace with 2x defending super bowl champions, so offense isn't a huge issue. Main thing that needs improvement is defense. We sorely need a CB 2, and a number of new players at Dline and LB.  We're not quite as bad at edge with Wonnum showing promise.  But we definitely need 1 or 2 more edges Clowney is old.  Run D is probably worse prevailing theme these past couple years. We really need a good young stud or two to pair with Derrick Brown and another LB to pair up with Trevin Wallace. If Morgan and Canales can focus on rebuilding the defense this off-season and possibly going out and getting a #1 WR. This team could easily be somewhere around 7-10 to 10-7 and flirting with playoffs in 1 or 2 seasons. Overall this game has made me feel alot more positive about the direction of the team.
    • With our picks we need pass rush, lb, Safety, a speedster yac wr, o line depth and I still want a mid round qb. We got 9 picks and 8 in the first 5 rounds. If they pull Off another solid draft we be cooking.
    • We had one passing touchdown against the Giants and one passing touchdown against the Chiefs today. Yes a good backup can replicate that. And that is why Andy Dalton in significantly less games has the same number of 30 point outings as Bryce Young. I am on board with you guys about wanting to be hopeful for the future. Today was a good performance to build on especially at home. But let's please keep things in perspective. BTW the Bucs who honestly aren't even that good blew the doors off the Giants today after we went to overtime against them with 17 points. Again. Perspective.
