Not happy the team is letting him go without getting anything in return. I was okay letting him go last year because of the cap hit; but this year without a cap, seems a little "winning what is that" attitude.

Assuming we arn't tagging him its a good move. To much risk on our part. If we tag Pepper there is no way he signs a new contract with us. Also the price tag of the tag would also scare away many trade suitors.

I feel letting him become a FA is a good move. Pep gets to find out how much interest is out there for him. We can also see what kind of price tags teams are throwing out. If its something we can beat then send Pep a long term offer with better cash. But if someone wants to overspend let them.

It could turn out to be a Moose situation where Peppers goes away for a few years and comes back to finish up his career. So, in that regards it would be good of us to not burn whats left of our bridge (ala the patriots and seymore).
