Carolina Panthers to determine Julius Peppers' fate this week

Last year the Panthers needed Peppers. This year he is a luxury we can let walk. Seriously why do people think we need compensation for Peppers? We have gotten 9 years of play from him.

You don't let a player like him walk without some sort of compensation. At this point I wouldn't care if we got a 2nd round pick from him, but the team has hole that need to be filled, so we need to get some sort of compensation.

It's gonna be damn near impossible to get anything higher than a 3rd round pick for him. Everyone knows Richardson doesn't want to pay 21 mill for him. His agent want's to get him in the open market. Pep doesn't know if he wants to be here or not. No one in the NFL has any idea what kind of productions they are going to get out of him. He is probably going to want a contract in the Haynesworth area so any team that would probably sign him to something in that range damn sure wouldn't want to give up a draft pick for it. Its a clusterf*** . I really hoped they could have worked this out already but I think last years bitterness (the working out a deal before the season thing) is what's killing negotiations from even starting. I just wish it to be over with one way or the other.

There's a lot of teams that don't want to pay Peppers what he wants because they know how inconsistent he is.

I just wish he would resign and remain a Carolina native. ahhh

If the Panthers simply let Peppers walk for nothing, I will stop coming to the Huddle forever, turn in my Panthers NC license plate, and sell all my Panthers memorabilia...

I got a baby on the way (should be here by Week 1, 2010) and I ain't gonna be able to keep up so much this year anyways probably...

I'm not saying it is a certainty that he gets the tag, but I hope, at worst, he tests the market and comes back... If we even let him go there and test it, it's likely the most stupid move we've ever made (including the Delhomme extension, the Gilbert trade, etc), and one that would make me lose all faith in the direction of the franchise...

I can see why Mark and Jon stepped down... We're moving in the wrong direction...

Prove me wrong, Fox and Hurney... Get the deal done NOW...

Hey man, who hypnotized and mesmorized you with this undying love for Pep? I want to meet them so they can turn me into a porn star.

If we tag him again i'd be like someone wearing a 10 ct. diamond and living in a 40,000 dollar house. Its time to move on and forget about this schlep. He could receive all three dicsiplines in Oz and still not be worth a damn.

Oh, and Mark didnt step down, he got his ass fired for doing the Duhlomme deal and Jon was let go for serving shitty BBQ...

Let him go... we'll be better off in the long run.
