I can't believe this came from Pat Yasinskas!

This is an exaggeration, but just because you like Hitler doesnt' mean that he has to too. Steve Smith's attitude would rank in bottom 5% of the league. I hate when he bitches about not getting the ball. I'd prefer Ocho Cinco because at least he doesn't turn on his teamates and protects them.

Stop smoking crack. Did you not see how Chad handled the season and offseason like two years ago. He became another T.O. Have some pie after that statement

Smith never turned his back or wanted to leave our organization

I was just thinking about something after reading through the thread and seeing where several people mentioned Smith as the face of the franshise.

Most fans look at Delhomme and feel that the relationship between him and Fox/Hurney/Richardson is too loyal. But what if it isn't Fox but Smith who is being too loyal. I have to agree that Smith probably is the face of the franshise and when you are that the FO tends to cater to your needs and wants. Is it possible that after the Arizona loss, Smith was the one pushing for Delhomme to get a contract? That Smith was the one pushing for Delhomme to keep starting throughout the season?

Just trying to stir the pot a little but there could be some truth as well...

I don't know....I know they are great friends...but Smitty said a lot when he said very little about half way into the season. I think he wanted Jake benched earlier this season. You may be right about coming into this season....I am sure Smitty was as "pro" Jake as he has ever been in terms of starting.......probably he feels his buddy is done now.

dude if they sucker punched smith, they'd be in the hospital because smith would have mercilessly beat the crap out of them for even trying to hit him.

Smith has sucker punched 2 guys......there is no evidence to suggest he is Mike Tyson when engaged in a fair fight. Normally guys that throw the sucker punches ain't the baddest man in the bar.

I like Smitty....but there is plenty to dislike about the guy. I think people that think his stupidity is a testament to his toughness need to rethink that.

The funny part though is most High motor guys are. Look at Smith there is no one with any higher motor then him and he is very vocal. Jarrett Allen is also the same way.
HOF receivers Rice, and soon to be Carter are both high motor guys, and are big vocally. Brown is a high motor guy, we really didn't hear much of him vocally. I'm sure you'll say he was only a rookie, but that doesn't stop vocal players from being vocal.

Flashforward to this season. Delhomme was playing horrible but at the same time Smith was contributing to the INTs as well. Actually at least 3 INTs were more on Smith than Delhomme from just my memory. Smith didn't take the blame, we never heard anything about the organization wanting Smith to take the blame and to top it all

I have to call bs on this Smith did take blame for ints this past season at least twice publicly.
