Bezos wanted to buy the Commanders but Dan Snyder wouldn’t sell to him for political reasons.

He’s now had his eyes on the Seahawks because they’re likely to be sold in the next few years.

NFL owners really want Bezos to own an NFL franchise.  Amazon is coming at the NFL hard with Thursday night Prime games and likely more to follow-suit.

Hopefully Jeff is seeing the current train-wreck that is Carolina along with today’s debacle(s) and throws Tepp a sweet “make 50% on your initial investment and get out of Dodge” type of deal.

Best case scenario for all, IMO.

I think there are some issues with owning a company that broadcasts games while owning a team.

“Jeff Bezos didn't bid on the Washington Commanders, but that might not be the end of a possible NFL relationship.

According to Pro Football Talk's Peter King, the league is "lobbying Bezos quietly, but hard" to purchase a team. Furthermore, King seems a good opportunity arising with the Seattle Seahawks likely the next franchise on the market.”

I don’t doubt that the league wants him but there may be some flack from some owners about him having stakes on both sides of the fence.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t Bezos owning a team and being an exclusive broadcast partner a huge CoI?

I don’t know how he’d do it but this has been widely know for a while now.  Maybe Amazon gives up the Thursday night games, maybe they get sold to someone else, or maybe the NFL just puts some terms in an agreement (Panthers can only be on Thursday night once every two years, etc?)

If there was any doubt it could be done, I’d think it would’ve been brought up when he pursued the Commanders and now the Seahawks.  Just sayin’

Well Bezos has enough money to make people bend the rules or create loopholes

That fan is about to become a rich fan.

The American dream. Hooking a rich celebrity to doing something irresponsible on camera and then faking an injury to get a nice settlement. Love that jags fan!
