Cam taking shots at Mike Florio...

This is sorta dumb honestly. Cam was a great player when he played before the injuries and put on a good show. Once they retire and go all over social media with hot takes it’s usually annoying at best. You will never recapture the relevance of your playing days where you had a captive audience of millions every week.

I don't think it's about relevancy as much as it's about he's doing things no different than anyone else in the sports industry through social media. He had an opinion that has since been proven right after folks within the same media sphere went after him. From a Panthers fan I think it's good to see him living his best life. It's just YouTube. Do your thing Cam. Subscribed.

Why does everything have to be interpreted as someone looking for attention? He played the game his whole life now he is not allowed to talk about it after he is done? I will never understand this concept.

Cam largely has always made a lot of good points.  They aren't always well received because of the delivery and style he gives them.

1.  Cam was right to speak out against media trying to treat him like some kid in his mom's basement.   I mean, the absurdity of that should of been called out.  Cam actually knows football and has done it at a higher level than most that have ever suited up.  The media is worried about athletes that can do what they do, better than they do it, and on their own.  At the current rate, all the talking heads audience is going to old folks.  And then they lose their jobs.

2.  Most of the football world media aren't journalist.   Those are rare.  I mean, reporting on the facts of the game and what is going on? I'll take that all day.  Which is what they SHOULD be.  Last thing I need to see is another TV show with a variation of everyone doing their own version of Stephen A or Skip.   They are clickbait talking heads.  And Cam is right, he could play football and do what they do.  They can't say the same.

Cam is rich you're broke.

Get over it. He has a million followers it's not like people aren't paying attention to him still.

This is really all he is doing. If you can make a good living off of it why not do it. Life goes on after football.

An opinion piece carries far more weight when it comes from someone whom has lived it. Cam has lived it. Olsen has lived it. SS89 has lived it. They have knowledge and experience that people respect. I think a lot of ‘journalists’ are jealous because a player’s take will always carry far more clout than theirs.

The Cam ‘routes?’ Controversy exemplifies this. His incredulity was justifiable, but… insensitive… boo hoo. The outrage created by the media was because he took a shot at one of their own. Not bc she was a woman.

    • The bottom lines to me are that a) we played well enough to beat the best team in the league and b) Bryce Young is growing into a bridge QB role (his ceiling) for us. As much as I don't want BY around after the season, it seems DC can still build the O with a game manager at QB for now. Best case scanario, we can build the D through the draft this year and take a QB we have conviction outside the 1st this or next draft. If BY keeps improving, we are going to win a couple more games this year.
    • Bryce has been a completely different QB since coming back. That started in Denver where it was obviously he was playing a lot more loose and willing to push the ball downfield  Bryce continues to build off of the previous weeks performance and that’s what you want to see Bryce has been making some real good anticipation throws. Reading defenses well. Pushing the ball downfield (7 throws of 20+ air yards yesterday. 8 if you want to include PI to Thielen). The deep ball accuracy has been there. Some of Young’s best throws yesterday were incompletions. Sideline balls to XL and Moore both should’ve been caught. RZ dot to Tremble should’ve been caught. And another RZ ball to Moore that Young gave him a chance at. Bryce is starting to execute Canales offense and yesterday Canales finally opened it up a bit. Canales was to blame for the 126 passing yards in Germany as he played a more conservative game.  The next bit I’m looking for his for Young to be a bit more decisive with running the ball. Start putting that on film and it’ll help open things up a tad
    • This KC team isn't the juggernaut it once was.  How many one score games have they won this season?  How many of those one score wins would probably have been loses if Mahomes wasn't the QB?  Their secondary is vulnerable and it was obvious today.  Grandpa Thielen was able to get open at will all game long. Bryce played well, but thinking this is the exact same KC defense Young was able to move the ball against as last year isn't going to compute.  Last year's KC defense was #2 overall.  They have regressed. I've said it before, Bryce can move the ball before the red zone, but once there, he struggles.  He is not a threat with his legs and the passing windows get much tighter.  He's not turning the ball over, so that is a great place to start and build upon.  I still question much better he can get.  Beyond a game manager?  I highly doubt it.
