I bet Pep will take less dough to play for certain teams than others. If Pep walks and all NE has to do is sign him to a fat contract and not an insane contact.......I don't see the case for that screwing them.

We're in a bad spot on this one guys... if we tag him, the Patriots might lose interest since his price will go up - and he won't sign the tender again until the last minute because the moment he does, we can trade him to anyone.

Why would a team give up high draft picks to acquire Peppers along with a huge FT Cap number when they can just wait for him to be a FA? Or they point and laugh at the Panthers for giving a poorly motivated DE 21 plus million dollars for one year. Win/win.

This situation with Peppers is and always has been about the money. To think that Peppers is going to sign with another team for less money just because its the Patriots is just wishful thinking and/or negative vibes towards the current Panther FO.

Peppers and other players are holding out hope that sudden cash influx they thought was going to come in an uncapped year will still come. It's not a bad move on Pepper's part and in the end we could see a couple of team breaking the bank but I doubt it. There is just too much at stake and even owners like Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder realise this.

Tagging Peppers is just not an option. Accept this and move on. But also realise that Peppers could be right back in Carolina once he hits FA because IMO the Panthers at the end of the day are going to be the team with the best offer on the table.

I'm not dogging Peppers in the least because even if some on this board would like to say other wise, we all would be trying to make the most money possible. Now, you're also correct that team does play some role. But I think it has more to do with not playing for the Lions, Raiders ect for no amount of money rather than giving a discount to a team.

In the end, I think Peppers will play for whoever gives him the best contract and isn't in a complete rebuilding mode for the fifth straight year.

Patriots are just reloading. I believe it's 3 #1s and 4 or 5 #2s the next two years they already own. They're a lot smarter than most organizations.

I dont see how everyone is so scared to lose Peppers. We all know he is spotty in his play and also all of our O-line has practiced with him for two years. If anyone knows his weakness its them.
