It all depends on the structure of the contract.

As for Delhomme, we have an idea of what his contract looks like but in reality we have no idea about the details. It could very well be that it was written with a clause that made his quarentee money only gaurenteed if he started so many games in 09. Not saying that it is written that way but it could be.

If Delhomme is cut it will probably be before the start of the new league year so we will know something within the next 2 1/2 weeks.
