My wife and I went to Famous Toastery bowl Monday. We were about to leave when it was 28-0 ODU. But we stayed to watch the bands at the half. We stayed the whole game and I would put that up against any other bowl game yet to be played. IMG_20231218_181311650_HDR.thumb.jpg.c2dc5be7fdef66100d3df1f3dd5fcb66.jpg

This is the only one I've watched so far, mainly because I'm a UNCC grad.

Ended up being a great game.

Being there.. unbelievable game. I wish they would do that again. I had never been to UNCC. I would go back there and like to see a game there. A neighbor that owns o a brewery, took us to UNCC -Davidson basketball game. Floor seats, I had to get loose balls. I also went to Weddington - Grimsley semi football game. I have been living a charmed life.

It's hard for me to get pumped about football recruiting simply because most of these guys, especially the linemen, are at least a year or two away from being significant contributors at the P5 level.

I quit following all recruiting about the time I graduated college. At some point in your adult life concerning yourself with the decisions of HS kids starts feeling very creepy. When I was no longer in school it just didn't feel appropriate anymore. When a hyped kid commits I'll go watch his highlight reel and that's pretty much the extent of it for me.

The ACC is definitely circling the drain. No doubt about it. FSU goes to the playoffs if their QB doesn't get hurt but there's zero chance an undefeated conference champ out of any of the other P5 conferences doesn't go to the playoffs even if their QB gets hurt. It just confirmed what everyone already knew - the ACC is the perceived weakest major football conference. It doesn't matter if you have a winning head to head record against the SEC. Perception is all that matters.

Now you have the Clemsons and FSUs sitting there thinking... damn, we might have to win the ACC to get into a 12 team field. It honestly might be hard to get an at large bud out of the ACC because the SEC is gonna be screaming to get half of the field every year.

Yeah, FSU got jobbed. Even without their starting QB, they should be in the playoffs.

I wonder if Clemson will wait to see how FSU's freedom bid goes or if they go ahead and start their own lawsuit too.

I mean, I don't really care that they got jobbed. Without their QB they definitely weren't one of the best four teams and ultimately I want to see the best possible field. I couldn't possibly care less about the ACC as a conference.

Will be interesting to see if FSU can somehow lawyer themselves out of the ACC. That GoR and monetary penalties….yowza. Better get those LiV Golf lawyers for that.

Personally, I despise Free Shoes University, they are an unethical college and have been breaking rules since the rulebook was invented - so if they are able to weasel out of the thing they signed, best of luck to them.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
