i'll have 2 settle for 57"Samsung DLP w/ 6.1 surround sound I guess.

Good choice... I did the same thing when debating on going to the superbowl. As bad as I wanted to go I decided to buy myself a bad ass TV instead. I would have loved the SB experience but I'm still watching the TV, and I wouldn't have remembered much of the game anyway.

Yeah but you havent considered that it might be alot of Panthers fans wanting to buy tickets.

I have factored that in.... but instead of competing with two fan bases for tix, your now only competing really with one fan base.... with ATL and the rivalry and geographic proximity, that would be a tougher ticket to get since their would be a ton of ATL fans trying to come rather than if we played AZ with them being 2,000 miles away.

You know the fanbase better than that 70K seats in BOFA + Late game on a moderately cool night with lower profile apponent will = big price drop. They'll be worth face, maybe a little over but not $180 over.

i've had it since last season when I couldn't go ...and it did the job but the team didn't make up 4 it. Sony surround sound ..in my "man room" ..that my wife won't let me paint Panther colors yet.

Still doesn't compare 2 being there though...especially after the MNF game ..it's gonna be HYPE

If you're going to buy it to use it and can afford it then no problem.... but for the asshat who marked it at $580 for a single, they will soon realize that they are either going to have to attend that game or eat lose on that ticket.

Well, I would use it. Can't really afford that much for a ticket when saving for the SB.

I'd hold out, BTW why are you looking to go 2 for 1?

Not looking to go 2-for-1. I've got two seats, Becky can't go. So my other friend's dad and I decided to combine as we both have two in the same section. He will go with me on my second ticket, then sell his two and split the money.

However, he is wanting way too much for his two and I don't think they'll sell. So I'm thinking of telling him I'm selling mine as well and getting a single. Two will sell much better than a single. And I actually have a great time going by myself. From what I've seen on eBay and StubHub, I can get at least enough to cover the single club and have a some extra money.

Don't want to make him mad as we're combining efforts on the SB lottery should we make the SB.

I love going to games, but I'd be lying if I said I like watching better in person. The game is better viewed on TV especially since HD came about.

Ah OK, thanks for the detailed explanation, you probably could have gotten by with it's complicated :)

HD has made me a flat out SPORTS fan...except baseball.

I like being around y'all ..talking $#!+ and cursin' out the refs and such. But I do have my limits when it comes 2 buying tickets. And after trying it the "legit" way this morning..i can see why i stopped trying 2 get tickets through ticketmaster...it's STILL crazy.

I couldn't get tickets. As I posted in another thread (Ticket Buying Strategies), the Ticketmaster folks over at the store I went to in SC told me Panthers tickets were only available online or over the phone. They weren't selling them at their outlets. Apparently the Panthers further restricted sales this morning, or they lied when it was posted about them also being available at the outlets. I was there 10 minutes before 10 AM.

Yeah but you havent considered that it might be alot of Panthers fans wanting to buy tickets.

One thing I've noticed over the years is that panthers fans want a deal - probably because the stadium is close to home or they just haven't learned that you're going to have to pay big bucks for the big game if you're not a season ticket holder.

People seem to be more willing to big bucks for a game when the stadium is not their own. That's something I've always noticed - one day it may change. That's why you find opposing fans willing to pay double, triple, quadruple face and not bat an eyelid. They just want to see their team play. I wish our fans would to spend that same money and buy those tickets. People get mad at the person who sold the ticket - that person usually has no idea who bought it. Panthers fans have the same opportunity to buy that ticket though as the oppsoing fans, so I have trouble feeling pity.

I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet, but am toying with listing my tickets for an insane amount of money - if someone is willing to pay what I'm asking - wonderful - it goes into the Superbowl ticket fund. If I don't sell them - that's wonderful as well, I'll go myself. It's not like I can't watch it on TV if I sell them. I've been to big games, I've been to playoff games, and I've been to a Superbowl. I won't die.
