Living vicariously through my wife's facebook, I've gotten addicted to a few of the games on there and wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

Currently, I can't stop playing Warstorm.

Never even tried Mafia Wars, but I know a lot of people who did it. What was so special about it?

Did farmville and fishville for a while. Finally got bored/realized how much money I was spending on purching "limited edition" animals/fish/trees/seeds

I know what you mean. This is why my wife controls the credit cards. I have zero will power.

I probably dropped $100+ in those two games total over the course of 6 months. Not a TERRIBLE amount, but still. Too much for money-grubbing applications like what zynga does

Eh, they gotta make a buck somehow. I actually prefer the micro-transaction form of paying for my games than paying a solid ammount up front. I can see how paying over time decreases the initial hit on the consumer and increases the flexibility of the initial product. Just gotta watch out for the ones that abuse the relationship.

I played farmville till it got to be too much like work. Then I quit playing. I like to enjoy the games I play. I spent lots of time playing it but never any real cash.

Eggbreaker is my game of choice. There are a couple of others, but only do them to keep up so a bare minimum. Not at all interested in those games where you have to commit too much time or take care of things or strategize. Give me a mindless, waste your time game.
