What a freak accident. But the human body was never designed to go 90mph, much less 30. So any kind of accident at that speed would probably have a good shot at being fatal.

Actually, Usain Bolt's top speed is just under 28mph. Also, advances in training/conditioning/sports science are leading to faster and faster sprinters. A recent study suggests that human running speed will eventually max out somewhere in the 35-45mph range.

I meant more along the lines of the body's ability to handle force & stress at those speeds. If you ran top speed and collided with something, you would no doubt be hurt if not seriously injured.
