Why do so many people get married?

Some will say not to be lonely, but I know from experience that you can be lonelier with somebody than by yourself.

I got married because I know that, no matter how much my wife and I change, I want to be with her for the rest of my life. Not only does she make me happy, but I know she'll be a great mother to our kids.

I guess it's as simple as that. I didn't marry out of loneliness or a fear of being alone.

some of us indeed do find our soul mates. I've been with my wife for 16 years and I still feel like a newlywed with her. I couldn't imagine a day without her. I'm not saying every day is perfect, but we have way way more great days than we have bad.
