Should First Pick be a WR?

I definitely agree. I've had enough of these Drew Carter, Keary Colbert, and depending on how he plays this season, Dwayne Jarrett type receivers.

Outside of Oline and RB, i dont care what offensive position they select first, actually.

Tight End? I think we are good there, in fact I think we have three very solid and underrated tight ends.

If this guy Thomas is as gifted as he sounds he better not be the second coming of Jarret. I'd like us to get a vet out of free agency and a speeder guy like Golden Tate (fingers crossed) or Gilyard.

But it doesn't really matter what I think.. the Panthers will continue to draft off best talent when its our turn to pick. Fairly decent strategy actually.

I think we need to draft 2 receivers perhaps a second rounder and a 5th rounder. We also need to get another vet as well. We fixed the offensive line 2 years ago by bringing in a bunch of guys and can fix the WR spot the same way. Get a bunch of guys and count on one or two of them to fill in the hole.

For some reason, I don't see much in Gilyard. I like him, but I just don't see as much potential as most people. But Golden Tate is a beast.

Yeah since we have had like ten threads about wide receivers I mentioned earlier that we:

A.) Get a veteran, ie Torry Holt, Antonio Bryant, if hell freezes over and Norv Turner loses his mind Vincent Jackson

B.)Big possession receiver in the second... everything Jarrett was supposed to be

C.) Fast guy in a later round who is a PROVEN return man... I'm pretty sure we traded our fifth for Tank Tyler so it may have to be a sixth or seventh rounder

D.) I heard a rumor that Ryne Robinson might be trying to make a comback.. maybe he will finally pan out

Either way wide out has got to be addressed... as much as I love Moose and pray for Dwayne to have a break out season, it's just not working

With a good pass attack our offense could be scary good next year

He seems like he can be consistent… Like a #3 kind of guy. But I just don't see him doing too much in the NFL. i hope he can prove me wrong, though, cause I like him.
