Slow, was never really athletic, did make some big plays though. They kept him around for his leadership. Giants are in semi-defensive rebuilding mode, gotta cut the old guys who don't have it anymore.

This may be some 'hangover' from the Plaxico Burress situation. He was with him when that all went down, and had some questions raised about his own role and actions in that. He was quite petulant in his own attitude while that played out. The Giants might just see an opportunity to cut loose a bad reminder of what might have been.
