I hope I am wrong, but I’ve got a habit of being right more often times than not.

SPECIFICALLY, What physical attribute(s) does he possess that will put him in the conversation for being a top 10 qb in the NFL? What will he do, to advance the ball down the field better than the rest of the QBs that we play against? It must be a secret because I’m yet to hear a single person tell me just what the it is.

we were advertised a pro ready game changer super processor QB and in the process gave up an all pro RB, pro bowler wr  and what is looking like the #1 pick this year…. For a project. That refused to throw at his pro day?!?! You give that up that capitol to trade for prime Brady or Manning.

Our owner dismantled a  team, united as one, playing their hearts out for the most loved head coach in Carolina history. That team had each others’ backs. They were beating peoples’ heads in and setting team rushing records. Our o line were pancaking guys. Oh, and they were winning football games.

Me being ridiculous… no. Nonplussed, definitely. The hype has yet to be delivered upon.

We are all mad and sick of losing.  The point now is to fix this and to fix it requires something our fan base hates.  Patience.  We need a leader we can believe in badly.  That and common sense drafting.  We have to pick the best players available until we are better than other teams.  That will take multiple offseasons outside of Jimmy Johnson redux

I'm curious what you guys think but what do you think is more important / essential to Bryce's growth? A stud WR or a stud TE with pick 33?

And no, you can't say both, pick one over the other and explain why... curious to see what you guys think

First, stud WRs go in the first. Players can do better than draft slot but you get a lot of Mingos and TMJ as well. Last year was the year to draft TEs. Kincaid went late first and La Porta was a few picks before Mingo. A bunch of other TEs went day two as well. Pick 33 would be ideal for a TE but it might not be BPA.

Second, we should not have a targeted position. The pick has to be BPA, period. We have holes so anyone from the first that somehow dropped out of the 1st (not for legit reasons) should be on our radar. We got another crap draft because we weren’t smart enough to realize that Mingo wasn’t close to BPA and a solid/stud TE was BPA. Instead of trading up for a reach edge, we should have traded up to where Levis was picked and got La Porta. It would have cost us a 2024 3rd, basically same as what we spent to get DJ Johnson.

Weapons, weapons, weapons.

I don't care if its a WR or a TE but I expect multiple to be drafted and or signed in FA this year. I also expect unless Fitt is gone we will probably sign/draft the wrong ones but I digress.

I expect this offseason to be the swinging of the pendulum the opposite way and to put as many quick twitch speed receivers they can around Bryce. Basically going to be a sink or swim season for him. If he looks like this (or God forbid continues to regress) next season then we have the offense in place to help our new QB1 we draft in the top 3 of 2025.

You expect us to watch 3 years of this? No one has called Frank Reich incompetent until he had to coach Bryce.

Your Newbie name is right.  There were a lot of people that didn't want Reich.  He was fired during the season of his last head coaching job too.

If I do not get a specific answer as to what PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES Bryce demonstrates that suggest a successful NFL career, I’ll chock all of this up to trolling. The ability to process is great and all but I need to know what unique physical quality he possesses that will deliver the ball from his hand, to one of our teammates successfully. Currently I’m seeing a short, slow, extremely small kid with a noodle arm and crap mechanics along with awful pocket awareness.

mechanics can be helped, but it will not add the 15-20 mph needed to deliver the ball to our guy.

He is unable to see over his lineman unless he is in pistol. Physics dictates that his throw will have to have a higher arch (or jump pass) to not get batted down at the los when throwing to the middle of the field. These passes will get eaten alive. It’s simple projectile motion. Math is not an opinion. Our team knows it and the other team really knows it. Passes to the middle of the field will require him to roll out. This makes the throw even longer than it was before, which further exposes his velocity problem. Mechanics can help, but not to the point of being comfortable with longer throws. So essentially, the middle of the field is off limits unless it’s a completely busted coverage.

Is good attitude and leadership qualities going to stop ducks from going the other way for 6? He does not, and will never possess the physical attributes to be a starting qb in this league.

I didn’t have a problem with him when he was hired. I just want someone competent. It’s obvious now that he doesn’t know how to adapt to his teams strengths and weaknesses. He’s a stick in the mud my way only kind of guy. However, he wanted Stroud because he fit his system and we gave him Bryce who didn’t. I’m struggling to picture Bryce in any system and don’t know why any coach would want to work with him.

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
