Why are people so hostile on this board?

Honestly I want to know. I've been reading a lot of pointless arguing and hate being slung around, and I just want to know the reason behind it all. I'm sure I'll get some heat just for posting this thread. Is it a measure of humanity? Is it because of the Panthers recent flop of a season? Lack of things to discuss? Tell me, I'm all ears. We all root of the same team here, for the most part...WHY SO SERIOUS?!?!?!

the hostility is there simply b/c people can be hostile and not get the poo kicked out of them. The animosity and feud created gives them a sense of pride and egotism, knowing they can be that internet tough guy without having to face confrontation and the ramifications that would ensue if they said that to someones face. It sure is gratifying.
