And when he had time he sailed balls over receivers heads. Never gonna make a point with this crap, this was just a great defensive playcall. Half the defenders in the backfield...Every team has busted plays like this, selling plays like this like its the norm is just lazy and misguided.

If Young were on 1 of our rivals, instead of this garbage team, we would all be howling with laughter and mocking him endlessly. Bust Young. if you look at him without the perspective of being a Panthers fan, his play becomes much, much harder to defend.

Except he'd probably look 10 times better if he were the QB of any other team other than the Carolina Panthers.

This fanbase has such terrible football IQ. We're going to be terrible for awhile at least I get to continue to laugh at the people who think they know what they're talking about on this forum. Haha.

I don’t know if he is a bust, but he has zero semblance of a franchise QB.  Simply stated, when the level of play by the QB is consistently(I shall be kind) sub-standard the reaper shows. First to go most often is OC. In this instance the HC has been bounced. Very shortly (possibly next game) the OC shall be relieved minimally of play calling. is  anyone not name Thielen. His long throws are routinely off target.  Sure the panthers have skilled areas that are lacking elite talent.  But think about this…. Reich has been fired, now fans are demanding Brown be relieved of calling plays…. Meanwhile  RBs, WRs and TEs  will continue to be rotated and alternated.  But the QB in this instance remains untouchable.  There are 4 games left…. Maybe the defense steals a Victory for the panthers. But realistically this offense is bad , epic bad  I am an old head  this group reminds me of McKay’s TB buccaneer  mid 70s   The defense was stout but the offense was so pathetically horrific, the bucs lost 26 in a row.  I have zero belief this offense will snap to it this season.  I believe 1-16 or 2-15 is the end result  And the  we have mortgaged our draft capital into Bryce.  He will forever be linked to this egregious error of Fitterer. And I am not sure the fan base will be fair in their treatment of Bryce

It's not his fault he's our #1. We signed a declining 33 year old who should be a #2 at most and probably a #3 but he's forced into a role that he's not suited for and has honestly performed admirably in it. He's on track for over 1000 yards. He ain't the problem.

We expected TMJ to take a big step forward and that obviously didn't happen. We expected Mingo to be plug and play. Not so much. We signed a deep threat specialist in Chark to pair with a QB with no deep ball. The result of it all is what we're watching.

LG, so you're saying I shouldn't expect a wide receiver to run with the ball after he catches it? The situation doesn't matter. Catch the ball then try to score with it.

Yeah he can. He's regressing because of the lack of talent, poor coaching scheme, and poor o line play this year. He needs a reset and its too early to call him a bust. Let's see how he's performing around this time next year.

Bryce is definitely regressing because of a lack of talent –– his lack of talent.

He's not a YAC threat at this point in his career. Greg Olsen never was and we always loved him.

Bryce went 5/7 for 74 yards throwing to Thielen today. He went 8/29 for 63 throwing to everyone else and yet Thielen is the target of your ire? Honestly that's just bizarre.

Any and ALL incomplete passes are on the WRs for the cope crowd.  If Justin Jefferson were here, Young would be leading the Pro Bowl balloting!  Overthrown ball--quit on route.  Underthrown ball--wrong route. Inaccurate pass plausibly could be caught-- bad hands.  Dropped ball-DUH.

I mean, Bryce could have been the first QB in NFL history without an incomplete pass if only for those darn WRs!!!

Cam took a rag tag receiving core  similar to what we have to the SB.  Struggling is a nice word for coping....

Because he ran so well he’d draw 7 defenders to the line of scrimmage, no cover 2-3-4’s with Cam. Like what Mike Vick did in Philly. Could throw a bomb to desean jackson every play if he wanted or just run for 15

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
