Here is the real epiphany.

Nothing you say or do is going to stop the majority of people from being assholes. They are not assholes of ignorance, for they aren't oblivious to how loud they are or how irritating they are to others. No, they simply just don't care.

The real moral of the story is that you can't change people, and to try is a waste of your time. As tough as it may be, you have to just realize this and learn to laugh at these situations, thanking yourself all the while for the people in your life who are not assholes.

Oh, and Applebee's is the worst of the chain restaurants.
