I honestly do not see what you are so angry with them about. It is clearly stated in your reservation confirmation. You should have booked two separate reservations so you could cancel the one reservation that you didn't need. It happens with Marriott as well. I've looked at a room for an entire weekend downtown because of a party on Sat and game on Sun, but if I would alter the duration, the rate would go up a LOT - I mean the $40 isn't that bad to go up.

I have done this since I had my PSLs in 02. Screw them. What I could have done was made my reservations for one night at the time. The Sat rate is usually cheaper. I make my reservations before they know there is a game to save money, as I did this time. But they want to stick me for an extra $40. They can have it. They will not get any more money from me. Also they have a very angry, vocal customer. Can you imagine the sceen I am going to make at check in. They should be very busy at that time too Bad business.

Well, you will eventually run out of hotel chains to stay at then. They will ALL do that. If you knew you were going to cancel one night, you should have made separate reservations. Their rate rules are no different than airline rules.

That price difference isn't that bad for that night, I'd have expected it to be more.

I will make separate reservations next time at my new hotel chain. Yea I guess they all are creative at getting in our pockets. It probably just bothers me cause it's $40 coming out of my pocket going into theirs. I will make sure it cost them more than that. Shoot, maybe I can score some tickets tomorrow and resell them on stub hub for the difference.

If you want a room, you will have to just suck it up. There's nothing left downtown.

I made my reservations weeks ago. You need to study the thread before you can respond intelligently. But Thanks! I will deal with it, as stated above.

Yes my husband has kept me abreast of your thread. You should have read the fine print in your reservation contract. You wouldn't be in the predicament.

Dude, you set something up with the clear intent to basically defraud the hotel. I don't get why you're pissed when they changed their terms of the agreement after you decided to change your terms. Either stay two nights or suck it up and pay the extra $40. Is it THAT much money to you?

Yes, we've all pointed this out to him but reading comprehension is beyond his grasp. Any hotel that you make a reservation at has the same policy, especially for holidays and special events. His opening post indicates that the hotel just upped the rate as well then we find out that he's changing the terms of his stay.

Spoken like the "customer service" people I have been a customer of for years. I guess the management are all making reality TV shows. Well too bad for them. Bottom line is what?

Hey all! I am gonna be there. I will relinquish the extra $40. I will have a good time! I just prefer not the fuging!. Yall say I should have known better. I do now. It's all good.
