at the Residence Inn Charlotte Uptown. Friday and Sunday are $200 per night and Saturday is $300. if interested call 704-661-3868, ask for blaine and tell him John gave you the #. i'm out of town or i would help you myself.... hope his helps.....

Know what the Res Inn would be tonight? I really want to go to a party but a cab from Charlotte to Lake Norman is normally $45, tonight will be more. Plus, I don't have a ride back to my car tomorrow, so another $45.

Top shelf open bar - not drinking is not an option, especially when you're paying to cover the cost of the party.

I think if you make changes to your reservations, they can do that. It's usually in the fine print...which I didn't bother to look at - too long.

edit - just read the fine print - yep - they can do it and they notified that they can do it. Just don't change your departure date.

Any change to the arrival date, departure date or room type of this reservation is subject to the hotel's availability at the time the change is requested and may result in a possible rate change.

Question is, do they want to? They have lost MY business. Maybe that $40 is more important to them than the many future nights stays. Not just Charlotte. Anytime I travel, if the hilton name is even mentioned, I will clench my jawl mussel a bit and say, nah, no thanks, Is there a Holiday Inn?

I'll be more than happy for you to transfer your HHonor points to me! :D

I will have to buy a few points for the free night. That will be my last stay!:D

I had hoped that some Charlotte native here would say, "OH you can stay Out off 77 or out on Woodlawn and catch a train or bus to and from the ball game. "

Sounds like bullsh*t to me too....that's why when I make a reservation, I always print a PDF of the confirmation page right from the browser....and it stays on my desktop until I check in. They try to pull sh*t on me and I whip out the latop, fire up the PDF and let em have a look. I never depend on the confirmation email they send (though I have that too if they want to see it).

EDIT: Just read the whole thread...yer screwed at just about any hotel if you shorten your stay before checking in.

They changed it to one night but just added $40 for the per night stay. I will stay the night and collect the points. The next time I will cash in all my points and never stay there again. Promise I will enjoy the stay a hellof a lot more than they enjoy having me there. ANY hilton chain. I should have known what paris was doing her doins customer service would go to poo.

I honestly do not see what you are so angry with them about. It is clearly stated in your reservation confirmation. You should have booked two separate reservations so you could cancel the one reservation that you didn't need. It happens with Marriott as well. I've looked at a room for an entire weekend downtown because of a party on Sat and game on Sun, but if I would alter the duration, the rate would go up a LOT - I mean the $40 isn't that bad to go up.
