No, the "story" is they guy made some threats on a message board. I personally would not be to concerned with that. People have chimed in that they look the threats as being legitimate (that means they think he might act out on those). If you think he would act out on those, report it. If you did not report it, you are a whining baby who wants to be a victim. Don't see why this is so hard to follow.

Seriously, you have no clue what you are talking about. You can act all bravado right now but until it happens to you you dont have a clue. It was pointed out a couple times that to report it would have escalated the problem more than it helped. He hadnt acted on anything so far and it was just threats. Going over the top would have just caused more problems then what happened.

I never understood why he was allowed back at tailgates or back on the board. I have posts that are exactly a year old with another meltdown. I think his generousity bought him forgiveness from some people.

He was scary. If I'd have know about his prior assault charges, I would have filed a restraining order. There were nights where I slept with my taser under my pillow.

As for respect, I stayed out of the other thread. He had no respect for authority, thought he was above it.

I feel bad for his family and know from experience that suicide is difficult to deal with. However, I don't think this was a normal suicide - more that he flipped - suicide over the cancer or illness wouldn't have been done in front of the police.

and don't get me wrong either...I have been here more than long enough to know about the threats and how people felt at the time and how some feel about it now too...I was one of the folks who either wanted him banned or might even have banned him a time or two myself...nobody wants to live with being threatened by anyone under any circumstance. I will again repeat though, nobody has ever denied that there was lots of instability, and I will also again repeat, there was never, ever any follow through on any of those threats...no belittling any of the threats or anyone that was threatened, I'm just stating the facts. Was he capable...perhaps...but he never did do anything.

I KNOW EXACTLY how he felt about many of you- he told me straight up on the phone many times.

Clif was 100% all the time, he didnt put up with any crap, and if you got on his bad side- well, i guess you see what happens.

Clif is everything that everyone has said- A caring compassionate crazy ass man who would do anything for anyone- but I am sure being a MARINE he was never going to take crap from anyone.
