A private discussion involving a bunch of people from an internet forum isn't really practically possible.

How about everyone who wants to plug their ears and yell LA LA LA LA LA LA whenever someone says something bad about electro because they can't handle a REAL discussion on such issues, oh I don't know, leave?

There is no longer need for discussion, and if there is, have it privately.

Did you even know him?

Read post #389. It's very well said.

Pantherdad - a lot of this was all very public in threads but those threads ended up lost or deleted. So there isn't exaggeration by anyone.

I think the biggest reason for this thread was pretty much to explain to those wanting to dedicate the tailgates to him or the bikes in his name why it was not a good idea and that some of us are very against it.

I can see that he did have a generous side but my personal interactions with him overrides that.

I feel for his family and friends left to deal with the loss of a son, father, friend because they all cared for him and their lives will never be the same.

I don't need to know him personally to know threatening women and children is wrong. Anymore than I'd need to know Slobodan Milosevic to know he's a murdering, genocidal asshole.

What is literally being beaten to death?

Pick a side. The good electro and the bad. I'm not saying one side is right or wrong because both have had experiences and I can't argue with either. But now there is a piont of diminishing returns. We are all digressing into anger, isolation and feeling justified for what we are saying.

My main point is, there has to be a time where we all go, hey, I have said my peace and I have to be reconciled with that.

This is a Crimson Tide moment. At the end both Hackman and Denzel were right AND wrong in how they dealt with what they were given.
