Perhaps you missed the part where GTG and Cosmo were scared to go to their homes because of him. What is your recommendation for how they should have handled that with a practical discussion?

Perhaps you missed the part where he is dead and gone now, and what good is it doing to kick a man while he's down (or dead) for that matter. What is your recommendation on how people should grow a set and not talk poo about someone after they have passed away? Look man, the way I see it, these events have opened up some old wounds, and yes, believe it or not, there were 2 sides to him. I'm sure he made all these threats to people and you can back that up because you were there and heard and saw the whole thing, right? Are you sure alot of these happenings were not blown out of proportion a bit? I just find it funny all this comes out as soon as the man dies, but yet we can break bread with the man at tailgates, talk football on the internet, do this and that when he's alive. Like I have said many times before, I never saw that side of him, and i'm willing to bet alot of the folks around here that say they saw it, probably didn't.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, either, but then again, I have seen my share of drama queens.

So when do we cap this and have a resolution? Hand wringing and after the fact is not benefiting anyone now, no matter how we view it.

Tons of lessons learned hopefully and it's just time to move ahead.

Not really. It went from don't mention it then because he'll kill you to don't mention it in that thread it's disrespectful to don't mention it here you're not any better than he was to assuredly don't mention it in a week because man you just can't let it go. There's never going to be a right time to discuss it.

Not everyone has the same opinions of the man.

I wasn't pointing any fingers about who is delusional and who isn't.

And if your ridiculous definition of respect is to ignore the facts of someone's life after they die, then yes, I have no respect.

How about having the discussion in private and not in a public forum where family of his are members? Have enough restraint to be respectful is what I am saying.

A private discussion involving a bunch of people from an internet forum isn't really practically possible.

How about everyone who wants to plug their ears and yell LA LA LA LA LA LA whenever someone says something bad about electro because they can't handle a REAL discussion on such issues, oh I don't know, leave?

I'd start by letting you know that this thread wasn't meant to be a Kumbaya. If you think it's overblown, I saw several mentions of saved IMs, PMs and police reports if you'd like proof that this isn't some vast conspiracy against someone on a message board. Most people aren't mentioning it until now, I would imagine, is because he would threaten you if you did. When I made a post about how he was Earl and 9Lives on the old board, he neg repped me and said, "say it again and I'll slit your neck." What a guy.

As I said, not everyone has the same opinion of him as you. I don't think that's kicking a man while he's down. I think it's honesty, and obviously that's upsetting to some people who were friends with him, which I can understand. But that doesn't mitigate what anyone else's experiences with him were.

I think we have had copius threads to cover a spectrum of a very tragic event. He is dead. There is nothing to fear anymore about the past. He will not be signing back on to trouble anyone ever again.

I'm now talking about closing this chapter for alot of people and look forward and learn from the past. Not live in the past, but to learn from it.

Personally I don't see anything carthatic or therepuetic about literally beating something to death. There are some who saw the guy one way and others who saw him another. There are even others that didn't know either way.

We are talking about a person, not a Panthers game. We can drone on over a Panthers game even weeks or months afterwords. The outcome is the same.
