A more fair statement...

I don't think he meant to come across like that, I think its more of a respect thing....he's not even been buried yet, and people are kicking him around. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF THE GUY. the point is he has a family and people around him that loved him, whether he was wrong or not. I'm sure if the roles were reversed, your family or close friends would get pissed if something happened to you, and people just started spewing off this and that about you, and your not even in the ground yet?

I'm just saying, not only to you, be a little more repectful of the dead....right or wrong. He also had a mother and father. God damn whats happened to our morals, or they don't teach those anymore?

Maybe he could have been more respectful to the people he terrorized in life too. Respect is a two-way street. If my father was a raving madman who went around bullying people because of his own mental instability, and that fact was brought up when he died, would I like it? No. He's still my father. At the same time I'm not going to try to cover up or excuse what he had done like SOME people have in this thread. That's all I'm saying.

Thats cool, like i posted, RIGHT OR WRONG, he had people around who cared about him, such as you did for your father, nothing wrong with that. and i'm not trying to cover up anything for clif. like i said, I never saw that side of the guy in 6 years that i knew him.

Guys I don't mean to come off like a dick to any of you other than Cooter. I'm just irritated by what he said. Regardless of what his intent was, the tone of his post was clear. And that's what got under my skin. Anyone else who I've responded to, please don't think I'm mad or being a dick intentionally.

So far I have only posted one thing about Cliff, RIP and my condolences to the family, along with a pic of he and I.

I don't think it's necessary to drag him through the mud but at the same time the people who wanted to memorialize him via Huddle functions seem to want some sort of explanation as to why those ideas just weren't good ones. Which has led to this thread.

All I want to say about Cliff is that I could tell he wasn't healthy mentally, and at times he threatened me too.

Bottom line is I confronted him man to man at a tailgate and we were friendly with each other from that moment on. It's not fair to expect a woman to approach it the same way.

Even still, if those close to him can't comprehend why these memorials weren't a good idea, tell them, but leave it at that, and let the man RIP.

Lets all hold hands and sing kumbaya and reminisce about what a wonderful man he was. While we're at it let's honor him at the next tailgate! Screw facts.

He sounded like a kind but very troubled fellow, but I don't get just because he is gone this should be ignored.

There were threads before for the sole purpose of allowing those who knew him to construct a magical fairytale story of electro's life. Practically no one who had anything poor to say about him tainted that thread. Zod made this thread for practical discussion on the man. Even then, no one who had bad experiences with electro badmouthed anyone for choosing to look at only the good things he did.

It's people like AK coming in and chastising these women for sharing their story and Cooter coming in after god knows how long of an absence to preach to us about how selfish we are and what terrible people we are all and how he's such a pastorial figure that he can't even be associated with this site anymore. All because some people refuse to accept the fictional bubblegum and candy bar fantasy about electro they think we should.

So people are that pathetic and bored they have to have 'practical discussion' about a man that is dead...apparently people need lives or a hobby. I am quite sure there was enough 'discussion' about him while he was alive.

If by "pathetic and bored" you mean "not completely and utterly delusional about the situation" then yes.

It is not your fault that you are a dick....we have come to accept and love you for the way you are. :D

All kidding aside....I was offended by Cooter's tone and self righteous preaching. I agree there were two sides to Cliff. Some knew the gracious side....some knew the dark side....and some knew both sides. His family and friends will grieve for him....others will feel little. That is just the way the world turns.
