People COULDN'T take care of it before - it would end up in a meltdown with him. And I know at times when I'd take things up with him, I've gotten a message from a mod to say to just let it go. When he got worked up, you know as well as I do that he couldn't let things go.

He is the reason that people left here. He was scary.

If he took up for himself, it came across as threatening and he would go off on a rampage - just as you and his cronies we laughing about in the remembrance thread - I find no humor in him threatening the cops and then shooting himself in front of them. That isn't "having the last word" or in any way humorous.

Did you ever pay attention to his reaction when someone called him out on something? He went apeshit. It was too much drama to deal with.

I was one he stalked on the huddle - he'd disparage me in threads I never even appeared and he'd follow me from thread to thread. He also threatened me, my husband, and my kids...yes my kids...by name. I knew of his weapons because he told me if he ever found out where I lived, he's love to show us all how they worked. I used to be a fixture on this board and at tailgates, but there's a ton of you who have no idea who I am because I don't do either anymore.

You have written some of the most ignorant ass poo I have ever read on this forum tonight, and that's really saying something. These women were threatened in their real lives, not because of a stupid message board threat, but because of some asshole was calling them on their personal phone lines reiterating a stupid message board threat, just to make sure they knew he was serious. But because that's 'not the Clif you knew' that makes it okay?

Anyone that thinks it's okay/forgivable to threaten a woman to the point that she's sleeping with a tazer under her pillow is an idiot and I wouldn't want to be associated with them in real life or over the internetz. Don't you have a wife and kids?!?!? Are you really willing to admit that you wouldn't take it seriously if someone was calling your wife on her cell phone telling her he was going to 'get her' or kill her or your kids? If not then you really are as stupid as people on this board give you grief for. Even from what his 'friends' have written, it sounds like this guy was a total nutcase and a bully, and that some of you were naive/lazy/stupid enough to let it slide because he brought great food to tailgates and donated bikes! And what the hell is with him killing his horses, or letting them starve? It takes a real shithead to watch animals starve. I know several farmers dealing with terminal cancers, and haven't seen any of them let their animals suffer.

GTG, Cosmogirl and everyone else on this board has posted something that at one point or another has made my eyes roll back in my head, or made me want to punch my screen, but no one deserves to be physically threatened. A nasty private message I could let slide, but a threatening phone call to a person you only know through a message board and maybe through a few tailgates, that's some sick poo, and should never be tolerated, not even if the guy makes killer banana pudding.

I didn't know the guy personally, and he never messed with me at all, but he sounds like a real asshole in real life. I don't have any first hand experience with the guy, but lacking personal experience has never stopped anyone else on this board from posting their uninformed opinions, so there.

I don't want anyone's sympathy - the only sympathy that is needed is for his family. If I had my druther's, he still be alive and kicking and healthy, the animals would have been well cared for. I was fine just staying out of the line of fire. I'm sorry for what happened to him and so sorry for his family.

I wont defend him for that- but everyone is human and we all make mistakes and do things we are not proud of.

I know Cliff regretted the whole situation that is why I am upset that folks choose to play "that card" now.

There was a time when he was living for the truth to come out, and debts be settled. Death is no time to "get back” at a man.

No one here is perfect, and we have all done things we wished we could take back.

Even Clif would have done some things differently if given the chance. I know that.

I know some think he is just a crazy ass man who got what he deserved, but no one deserves what happened to him, and even in his last mistake folk’s shine at the opportunity to prove him wrong.

Christian or not, this is not honorable, nor something I would ever support.

We will all pay for our wrongdoing, clif is no exception, but there is nothing to gain by getting back at a dead man.
