All you Julius Peppers haters.....

I would love the panthers to franchise him and then trade him away for either draft picks or a solid WR and some draft picks. either way, one guy who doesn't even play every play as hard as he could, doesn't have that big of an effect on our entire season. i'd rather get too good players instead of one great player who doesn't play hard.

As long as we don't let him walk for free and/or find a solid guy to replace him I'm good. Id rather give guys like beason and williams the money than someone who doesn't want to be here.

Could somebody answer this question? Is it illegal if julius or his agent tells a team he'll sign long term if they trade for him? I don't why that isn't going to happen unless it breaks the rules.

Or can the FO communicate his intentions to the teams interested in him?

We need to keep Pep I think deep down he really wants to stay if he didn't he would not have done the interview!! Keep Pep!!

I agree. In the end, Im thinking he'll stay. Im hoping he stays longterm, because Peppers is a freak of an athlete and a beast! It would be a mistake if we let him go. Hurney or somebody in the FO needs to talk to the man!

First of all his agent is terrible at what he does. His strategy is once again, to try and get it out all over the media that Pep wants out, that he is unhappy, blah blah blah. The simple fact is that this team, and especially this defense is not the same without him and our FO knows that. We were a successful defense this year because we were able to get pressure without blitzing. Pep just being on the field lets young talent like Brown, and our interior DT's to get more pressure because of the double and triple teams on Pep. This situation will be resolved. Peppers likes the new D and the scheme. He is used all over the field just like he wanted last year. He will be a Panther next season and I wont be surprised if it is with a new long term deal!

Alright, to end all Julius threads. The Panthers will franchise tag him because they don't know what will go on with the lockout. They will try to trade him, but nothing goes through...sound familiar?

At least that's what my brother's girlfriend's sister's dad's best friend, which is good friends with a friend of Jerry Richardson's said...

....... NFL teams are lining up to take a shot at him.....

Really??? I wish, hope that is true because last offseason none of them worked out any kind of reasonable deal with his agent for a sign and trade with the Panthers - so that tells me the teams arent as eager as you think.

If that is true then great, tell his agent to get to work and to not just hope the Panthers let him walk.

In all honesty, I think in doing this interveiw today Pep kinda showed his hand. I think he was counting on being approached immediatley by the FO with a deal and the fact that it hasn't happened yet makes him feel under appreciated. I think he wants to be here, I think a majority of the fans want him here and I think he's worth at least 12 mill for 5. I for one do not want him to leave. I just can't picture him playing for any one else but us. The fact that we haven't won a Superbowl with him is irrelevent. Football is a "team" sport. The stonger that every position filled, the better your team.
