Am a new fan of the panthers

Welcome aboard Papa and welcome to NC. We look forward to having you join us for some tailgates next season. I grew up in Pittsburgh and was a Steeler fan all the way through....untill Mr Richardson gave us a team here. Still have a spot in my heart for the Steelers, but the Panthers are my team.

As far as the band wagon comments, forget them. These are the same fans who scream for every coaches and players head every 2nd or 3rd play.

I don't care if you were a Cowboys fan when you woke up and a Raiders fan at lunch, if you're watching a Sunday night game with me and cheering on the Panthers then I'm damn glad to sit down with you.

I think the nicest thing about being a Panthers fan for me has been an owner that I really like and respect. We've had our losses and we've been burned by high priced free agents before. He's stood by coaches when they needed it, dropped them when they deserved it, and spent what he needs to spend to field a quality product. To me, it's a franchise to be proud of and I hope you grow to feel the same way.

So anyway, enjoy the bandwagon while it's running through our town. Have a beer, make yourself comfortable, and don't let anyone tell you that you're not welcome. If you decide to jump off someday, well we'll still keep a light on for you in case you change your mind.

See you at a tailgate next year! :)

i am sickened that geographic location would cause you to change your affiliation

Why? What difference would it make to you? If someone is buying panthers tickets and rooting for the team, then who cares why they are doing it? And you are sickened? Isn't that a bit of hyperbole?

Face it, most of us were fans of other teams before Carolina got a team? And for the most part, we became panthers fans because of geographic location.

Thank You to all those who have welcomed me, I loved the person who said this isnt eharmony(goodone).

To those haters, calling me bandwagon all I can saw is I'm moving to town and would like to join Panther Nation. I could bring the Bills stuff and be a Panther hater when they play each other :) but i'd rather not.

I'm sure I will always be a soft spot for the Bills(35 years) just as others have said they have softs for their former hometown teams (Pittsburg & 49ers).

I am looking forward to Joining Panther Nation and I Billieve that together - Yes we can !

Go Panthers !

See y'all in 6 months when I get there...

well, you guys are still teenagers, so you probably dont remeber much before we had a team, but most of the people on this board had a favorite team before the panthers came about. i have been a fan sice 95, but before then, i was a 49er fan
I was a childhood Dolphin fan, but went to the first Panthers game and have lived in Upstate SC since 1980. I was 24 when they announced we were getting the team. Been a die hard ever since. Despite that I got called a bandwagon jumper here. Amazing. Go figure.

Lol papa, all the assholes that have never actually met ne1 else on this board and like the annominity of the internet will throw in their snide remarks. But trust me, most of the people being nice on here are the real people actually involved with the community and enjoy the company of insightful fans, it doesn't matter what your background. Welcome man, and hope to see you at some tailgates next year, you're always welcome and best of all its free!

You might wanna study a few of our seasons though for some of the conversations that might arise. :D

    • Start with Bryce, this is like his rookie year. The 1st 2 games proved her was wired wrong and it looks like (we hope) he needed a time out to reset and be the player that was drafted. He's still about a year or more away from being a top 15 QB, if the Panther give him another playmaker or 2 (a top WR and a decent TE) and maintain that line. Canales deserves credit as playing that card correctly to motivate (or refocus) his QB for one last shot to decide his and the Panthers immediate future. As a Panther fans we should hope he keeps improving as we invested so much to get him. CJ Stroud will never have a season like he had, even if he stays a top 10 QB. He's got great character so I'm rooting for Bryce to continue on his positive journey. Canales is playing the week to week thing with bryce perfectly. Nothings guaranteed, earn it weekly which builds consistency and consistency is greatness.  Keep the O-line. They've got to extend Brady C, along with Mayes that have a real good 7. Great job Morgan starting with the big guys upfront.  I really hope they draft a DE or OLB in the 1st round. Getting Brown back with A Robinson and what DJ has shown that we can have a decent D-line. Need a CB in the early rounds/ or a time FA to go with Horn.  The future as to next year being good enough to challenge for the division is within reach. Just show progress (win or lose) every week. Kudos to Dan Morgan. Plays GM like a LB. Tackle the problem and move on, don't just hope it works out. Find guys with your playing mentality and work closely with your HC to share a vision. Teamwork starts at the top and flows down.
    • Since we play the Panthers today and tmrw, we will have one gigantic double thread for both games. Today’s game is at 3pm and tmrw is 7pm.    After beating the Rangers and sending the those yankee bastards back to Cary, we get the Champs in the house.  Clean up the defense, no more lazy clears, and score baby score.  LFG CANES!
