Danica

Did anyone notice this?

On lap 7 Danica "did a fantastic job" of avoiding the Bliss-Baine accident by driving straight forward. We heard about this for 5 minutes, complete with zoomed-in stop-motion replays and John Madden-talking-about-Brett-Favre-esque ass-kissing.

On the big wreck (where Junior was upside down) Vickers actually made an incredible move to avoid the wreck which took place literally two car lengths ahead of him. We didn't hear a word about it.

This is exactly what I was talking about in my earlier post!!! The broadcast made me happy she was out of the race (Which still didn't stop the amount of time she was getting from the commentators).

I really hope the nationwide series won't continue to be covered as the Danica Series.... If so I don't know how much I can watch.... I honeslty felt today was WORST than Madden-Farve Ass Kissing!!!! Thats pretty bad ESPN.

The Nationwide Series is going to be the Danica Show for every race she enters. But you really can't fault the network for that because people are tuning in to watch her. She's definitely getting more credit than she deserves though. If any other rookie driver ran in the 20's all day they wouldn't have had a word mentioned about them.

Like Nelson Piquet Jr, who in the first two oval races of his life has two top-10s.

Has anyone thought about the extreme advantage she has over other drivers because of her weight? Not as much as she enjoyed in open wheel (where weight distribution is even more hypersensitive), but still huge. I remember a story about Michael Waltrip and Jimmy Spencer asking NASCAR for something that could make up for the 100 pounds they had on most other drivers.

I've been wondering when they're going to fix that height advantage in the NBA. The rules are unfair to shorter players :sosp:

I get what you're saying, but as others have mentioned, it balances out.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
