Panthers look at Ed johnson

According to league sources, the Panthers had former Indianapolis defensive tackle Ed Johnson in for a visit last week, though it’s unclear at the moment if they’re interested in signing him. Neither Johnson’s agent nor Panthers general manager Marty Hurney responded to messages left Monday.

2 "starters" coming back (Kemo, Lewis), 2 players you gave up future draft picks for (Leonard, Tyler), and then Hayden and Irvin (Thomas doesn't have a contract)...

So we're 6 deep, unless we are looking to replace Hayden (probably) or Irvin (doubt it)...

It could happen, but I seriously doubt it...

To me, this speaks louder about Kemo's status than anything else...

I think it's a situation of us thinking we did alright without him last year, so we're weighing the options of moving on for good...

It is possible they could be looking at him as a DE. They'll have more need for depth there if Peppers is gone.

I see everyone has embraced Thomas after shunning him intially (not saying you did - I mean the majority of the people on this board).
