Ok so I was a year late

Last year I boldly predicted and stated that:

a) The Saints would win the NFC South, the NFC Championship and Super Bowl

B) Drew Brees would prove that he is the best QB in the NFL

c) Sean Payton would prove that he is one of the top 3 coaches in the NFL

d) Reggie Bush would show why he deserved the #2 pick in the draft

and I could go on and on.

The only thing that prevented this from happening last year was injuries and now the Saints are firmly entrenched as the favorite to go to the Super Bowl representing the NFC not only next year but for years to come.

Sorry for being a year early on this but good to see I was right after all.

How did you predict this when you only have 1 post?

Really? Dude folds like a lawn chair against teams known to actaully hit versus tackle. Not to mention some undrafted player still plays the bulk of the snaps ahead of him.

Good call, because no fan actually calls that their team will make the playoffs or win the Super Bowl each season...well unless your Detroit. Not to mention that the 'star' player is better than others around the league or the coach is great...especially after a winning season.

So swamie, when is the housing market going to turn around and exactly how is the world ending in 2012?

Lastly, this is the NFL and all team have talent--health, namely good health, is the reason teams are able to make deep runs in the playoffs and usually the reason why postseason fixtures fail to make the playoffs (again, unless your Detroit).

Brees being the best QB in the NFL is still debatable. It's very hard to be the clear cut best in this leauge. Most positions are like that. He's very, very good. But he hasn't taken the saints to the playoffs every year. He's played well when they've played poorly though.

Sea Payton is very simmilar, the saints haven't been good enough long enough for him to be top 3 in the NFL. Best coach this year? Def.

Reggie Bush isn't even close to proving he's a #2 pick. He is a role player. He's a good compliment to have to a good offense. If you have REAL running backs, good WRs, and a good QB he's valuble. Bush could never carry a team on his own. Guys like him and Devin Hester need good players around them so they can utilize their skills best.

1/4 i agree with. I will add that your punter is a beast, you should have put that.

injuries aren't an excuse. We had plenty but most of the time it was our play rather than injuries. DT was obliterated but thats our fault for not adressing DT for 3 years.

1) Compare Brees Stats over the last 3 years with anyone else in the league and he is clearly #1. Not to mention he has a ring

2) Bush averaged 5.5 yards a carry rushing and 9 receiving. Name another player in the league that does that. He is the most productive RB in the league in regards to yards per touch. Any team in the league would give the #2 pick in the draft for him because he has clearly become what everyone thought he would

3) What coach in the last 4 years has brought their team to the NFC championship twice and won a Super Bowl?

Only one.

Most teams would expect their #2 pick RB to be able to run between the tackles reliably not just get a few touches and make 5.5 yards per carry.
