This breaks my heart. There are many that will get in here and say 'RIP', but for those of us that talked to him more often than not, he was a good man, a confused man, a troubled man, but he did have a heart that would stretch sometimes wider than you would think possible.

I'm angry. I'm angry I didn't talk to him more before handing the phone to Andy to talk. He would always make me laugh.

I'm angry at Clifton, and I'm not afraid to say it. Killing yourself is the easy way out, for you. Little did you know that I was RIGHT when I said that there *are* people that love you. Why was that so hard for you to believe??? Why did you think you are expendable???

RIP, friend. I pray today for you. I should have prayed for you yesterday.

Normally I would agree. But he supposedly was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and probably wasn't going to live much longer anyway. I can't blame him or accuse him of being selfish for wanting to go out on his own terms.

Pancreatic cancer is a bitch, very painful death. In Washington you allowed to commit suicide (by taking lethal drug) if someone has pancreatic cancer and if approved by 2 doctors.

To anyone who didn't know him or come to a tailgate, he really did care about people and making people he didn't even know happy. For about two seasons at the Huddle tailgates it was not uncommon for him to show up with $100 or even $200 worth of food every tailgate to share with anyone who wanted it. He would slave over grills cooking for hours just to give the food away and see people happy eating it (or drinking it).

He would bring eggs that his own chickens laid to use for breakfast. Buy tons of seafood to come share. Buy parking spots for people to stand in, bring tents to keep others dry in the rain, etc...if somebody even mentioned how it would be nice to have a certain food at the tailgate he would often get it just to make them happy, even if he didn't know them. You could tell that he got more enjoyment seeing others happy than he did making himself happy.

RIP Clifton....

Now that is the Clifton that I knew and loved. This will ALWAYS be how I remember him.

I just wish he had reached out for help if he were hurting. He would have been surprised at how many people would have been there for him. He WAS NOT expendable...he will be missed greatly.
