If you're a Bucs fan it means you're pathetic.

You know what I use too think that but now I feel diffrently. It seem like it always teams who don't have a lombardi trophy calling teams with one who can brag about it loser. When in fact we are loser without one. Maybe it's a way of making us feel better but it really just a sheild to protect us from our true ambition too have a championship of our own.

So you say their pathetic when in reality you would love too be able too say we have a trophy from 8 years ago too.

Nope. I agree completely. The present is all that matters.

The problem is that "Good" teams don't get remembered forever. Back in 98 the Vikings went 17-1 and lost in the NFC championship game, they had one of the greatest Offenses ever. Do you think anyone mentions them now besides Vikings fans? A teams ultimate goal is to win a championship every year. Not to rebuild, not to just get into the SB and lose. You Play to win.

so you'd pretty much be 100% fine being a fan of the Rams, Bucs, Redskins, Raiders because they used to be successful?

I know, and I still feel like poo that we don't have anything, but there is no reason to whine about it. We have a team with potential to do it next year, might as well move on to that and hope for the best instead of crying that a team in our division won and we didn't.

You can move on until the season start and we are along way from that. We still have to watch SI saint video Commercial. Drew B on every talk show known too man. Black and gold in the white house and a whole lot off bull poo before we can move on. You might as well not watch sports center 3 weeks. While we here every story of how the aint's superbowl win made this person want too live and love again in NO. How many 30-30 and behind sports strory are we going too have endure before we start the season again???:mad5::mad5:

Maybe you can't but I've already forgotten who won the SB. It wasn't the Panthers so who cares.

Yep. I just won't watch sportscenter or whatever, I'll focus on my grades and follow free agency/trade moves. IT IS WHAT IT IS.

^had to throw that in there :D

Then why are you still here typing about it? Kral stopping lying too yourself. We still haven't seen the bum rush from the bag heads because they still hungover. You can't move on until the season start.

Perfect example you love a women and she breaks up with you. You don't get over it untill you have another women you love. You don't get over heartbreak until you have somthing too fill in that spot. We won't have football for a while so all you have is " How great the Saints are" poo on TV untill a new season starts.

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
