most notably the late hit out of bounds penalty against the colts was laughable. it seemed the refs were letting the saints linebackers grab jerseys and hit past 5 yards all game. and i noticed a holding penalty early in the game on new orleans not called (think it was against freeney). oh and i think i saw a late hit on manning not called.

one ref appeared to ask 'who dat?' in confusion after the play.

That couldn't have been a more obvious late hit.

For the most part the refs just let them play and did not call much either way. That in turn does help a Saints team that plays dirtier than most other NFL teams. The only other thing I could see was the far more favorable spotting the saints were getting on almost every play as opposed to the colts. How many 2nd and shorts did Indy have? Cuz it seemed like a ton.

The late hit out of bounds was a legit call.. but I think the onside kick was clearly recovered by Indy after looking at the replays.. and he was down by contact with possession.. but the Saints just outmuscled him on the bottom of the pile. I don't know if the colts could even challenge that or not, but that was a game-changing play.

Sure Bush might have been a step or 2 out of bounds, but he was still trying to move forward as if he were still in bounds. It was ticky tacky at best.

really doesn't matter if it was even or not.

the refs didn't throw the ball to tracy porter for a game clinching TD. neither did jim caldwell or the Indy D for that matter.

Wow yeah... that was flagrant! And I totally missed it! The play should have been called dead and the Saints backed up to the 16 yard line. Wow!
