Manning Threw This Game

What in bloody hell would Manning have to gain by throwing the game? And if you're going to concede that larger powers are at work here, then you're going to have to concede that any game can possibly be "thrown," whether by players, refs, or other ne'erdowells.

In which case, why would you want to watch football at all.

And the Saints fans' preoccupation with our wonderful board never ceases to amaze me. The pinnacle of Saints fandom for the last 50 years is now, and where can you find them: behind their keyboards, posting over at the Huddle.

The same reason people still watch pro-wrestling. And the NBA (which is the most fixed league IMO).

all you that are saying that peyton threw the game away have obviously never played football before. it doesnt matter if ur playing against your 90 year old grandma you still want to win if your a competitor. i just dont get these idiotic consperecy theories. just accept it that the saints won as much i hate to say it

Colts lost because Reggie Wayne didn't even show up. Not just dissappeared, but didn't even make it to the game. The pick was on Wayne, and just a couple plays earlier Manning damn near got picked on the sideline running the same route. Damn shame.

The Colts went into cruise control after that first quarter and never got their asses back in gear. I've never seen a team look so lackadaisical in a Super Bowl. You'd have thought it was a preseason or practice watching those defenders just float around in that zone never actually covering anyone. I never thought I'd see Peyton actually shorten the field for a defense but he barely even tried to test the Saints deep till they were down in the 4th.

Yea just as lackadaisical as their coach. That man has no fire.
