I was very naive to think these assholes would leave out the SEC.  That was never happening. If UNC was undefeated and in this position they would not have made the playoffs.  That is total horseshit

Let’s get UNC to trim those losses down to 1 before we have talk of them in the CFP. That’s not a shot, just a fact.

For sure!  If DII  and FCS can do a three to 4 week tourney, why the fug can’t the best athletes?   Go to 16 teams and we could have “December madness”

Ya I pretty much refuse to watch college until they go to an actual playoff that incorporates all the good teams based on standings. FSU fighting for the trophy down their starting QB would be a much more compelling storyline than oh look it’s bama again. Yawn.

Bowl games are boring. Let the teams over 16 play bowls for their schools. 1-16 should be a tourney.

Let’s say what it really is. Resumes don’t mean poo. Apparently they want the hottest teams that will bring the most eyeballs. Old men in suits with money determine who plays Vs the actual players and coaches.

yes Florida state was prob gonna get dog walked but they should have still been there.

100%, that’s why it’s been stated that it’s okay to lose early (i.e. Alabama) but if you struggle late or lose late then you are fugged.

It’s all about what you’ve done for me lately.

This. The senior selection guy is on right now and he literally said they bumped FSU because of where FSU is right now as a team. Meaning, ratings. They don't want a lousy semi final game. I get that. But there's the reason. He just said it.

Boo is actually the AD at NCSU… the next ACC meeting is going to be awkward.

Florida State is on a 19 game win streak so it isn’t about winning.  A kid gets injured and it gives these fugs a reason to exclude them

16 teams, use conference championships as a seeding measure through a point based system. You win your conference championship you get 2 points, if you are undefeated you get 1 point. Seed from there through the top 16. Could even do each loss during the season counts as -1 for seeding.

They need to do away with CC games. For example, OSU and Mich are in the same division. So even though OSU only had one loss, Iowa went to the game versus Michigan.

That's why I was so confident FSU wouldn't make the top 4. You simply can't put a team without their starting QB in the playoffs. Sure it's unfair, but nobody trying to watch a bad game. This was all about keeping the games more competitive. FSU struggled to beat Louisville no way they had a shot vs Bama.

Which is why it’s all about what you look like week to week. The committee, the NCAA, and ESPN want a competitive semi finals because that’s what will make them money. Joey Galloway can parade around and act like he doesn’t care but Charlie Baker, Bob Iger, and the CFP committee sure care.

In reality it didn’t come down to Bama and FSU, it came down to FSU and Texas. An SEC team was going to make it. If Georgia won they’d have been number one, with Alabama winning you have everyone saying that they had the best win all year. If Texas doesn’t beat Alabama this year then they probably get left out but it would be impossible to leave Texas out while putting Bama in since Texas won that head to head matchup. But I’d damn near guarantee that if Texas was a one loss team that had not beaten Bama and instead beaten a team like Kentucky, FSU would be in over them.

an expansion to 12 will probably yield problems but it’s a good next step

the four team CFP clearly has issues and deserves to go but at least encourages teams to play and win tough schedules

alabama just got in over fsu because their SOS was #5 and FSU was #55

a strictly numbers based system is going to get a bunch of doo doo schools who have spent the season beating up on bad teams in bad conferences a disproportionate amount of credence

There will be problems but not to this extent. An 8-3 team isn’t as deserving nor would they have as good of a chance at winning a championship as an undefeated or one loss team. The expansion to twelve should fix a lot of issues.
