Tickets the players get aren't free. They are just a bit lower priced than normal tickets. Like 800-900 a pop.

Some National Football League players make huge profits by scalping Super Bowl tickets, according to published reports.

Under the league's collective bargaining agreement, players are given the option to buy two Super Bowl tickets at face value of $75 each. Of the 28 NFL teams, only New England, Tampa Bay and San Diego have tried to prevent players from reselling the tickets, the Dallas Morning News said.

One player said he sold two end zone tickets to the Giants-Broncos game in the Rose Bowl three weeks ago for $1,600, a profit of $1,450. "I used the money for Christmas…
