mac users --> panthers.com question

I was never able to watch those videos on my mac either. I still love my mac and wouldn't trade it for nothing. For that one guy who made a reference to mac users only living in a mac world etc., I do all of my work on my mac and that includes, designing, video editing, web site coding(html, css) and etc. I guess it depends on your business or the field you are in.

well it does work great for music edditing and also if you are an engineer then it will work well with linux servers and what not, but for the average worker there are tooo many thing it wont do if it was not for that then there would be more MAC users than PC users and that aint even close. now i am not bashing the MAC at all as it is a very good OS. i am simply pointing out that in most cases it is no more than a web browsing ipod station. if you think that is not so then we simply look at the world through different eyes and i can accept that.

thats the problem with mac is that the same reason it never breaks is the same reason it is not more widely used...................it only works with a small amount of stuff. its great if you live in a mac world but is you want to step out of the bubble and actually work you need a pc.

What kind of work do you do? 'Cause....my iMac does everything a PC does and more.

-It supports Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)

-iTunes

-Adobe Creative Suite 3

-Firefox

-CAD

So....other than that....what can a PC do that an iMac can't do just as well if not better? Not to sound like a dick, but you sound like everyone else that hasn't really used a Mac.

Sidenote: I use a PC and an iMac at work.

the MAIN reason Macs are better, is becus you dont have to get the virus scan crap and Mcafee becus Macs dont get as many viruses..

Macs are immune to like half the viruses PCs are subject to.. why?

because Mac platforms are built from the ground up.. when PC or IBM came out with Windows Millenium- it was basicall build on top of Windows98 and 98 on top of 95.. this carries over all the crap bugs that were in those systems..

Macs are so much more easily navigated.. the only problem is that most the world is still part of the Herd of Sheep that runs on PCs and most programs dont run on a Mac, so you have to find the Mac version or an alternative..

but you have to wonder is the reason a mac doesnt get a virus is that it doesnt use half of the apps windows does. if you say here is your pc dont plug it in to anything but this list of approved apps that we made, then there would be no issues either. that being said i wish that the mac was more widely used but it just isnt right now. it is nice i like it i like linux ubuntu i like a little about all sorts of os i just wish you could use the mac or linux the same as the pc. you pic your poison crashes and viruses or trying to find a way to get something to work for you that everyone else has no problem getting to work.

Dude....there is nothing you can do on a PC that you can't do on an iMac. That's what I'm saying.

As far as "Why this thread was made"....it is because Panthers.com sucks. As previously stated, you shouldn't create a website that requires users to download a plugin to view its content. Thats just bad design.

Also, it has already been stated why Windows sucks and is prone to viruses. It has nothing to do with how open it is. It has to do with the fact that it hasn't a top-to-bottom redesign since Windows 98. They just keep modifying existing code...which means (you guessed it!) most of the same vulnerabilities from previous versions still exist in the new ones. This means virus creators have a much easier time of creating said viruses.

Now, gtfo.

    • I didn't say much bigger. Watch the highlights I linked. Bryce doesn't have the arm strength and/or talent to make the vast majority of the throws Mac made in that video.
    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
