Torry Holt will be released by Jaguars

I would be in favor of it if we decided to become more of a spread offense. But all I really want for us is either a high draft pick WR, or a a legit FA WR, or both, let DJ have his last chance and then see what Moose can bring to the table.

And don't forget Ryne Robinson he is scheduled to have a 2nd chance with us. I know that doesn't mean alot to you guys here but he wasn't fully healthy last season and he showed promise at WR, plus it's John Fox.

I was wondering what happend to Ryne.I was surprised when no other team got him.

Holt is probably faster than Jarrett even at 33.

That being said, I have mixed feelings about Jarrett. Kind of hard for him to have a real chance given our problems at QB this year, and part of last year. On the other hand, he just looks really slow. But he does appear to be better than Kerry Colbert, and might deserve a shot next year.

In related news, another T-Rex was uncovered in a Wyoming housing development.

Is he a free agent and can he play wide receiver? Just think of the experience ole T-Rex would bring to the Panthers, considering his age.

Plus he would be one tough customer to block. :)

I remember him winning the nfl's fastest man competion a couple years back, and yes Steve Smith was in it..he's only 3 years older then Smith, and would be an upgrade in terms of talent to Moose..however we do need to try and get a reciever in the draft but if we pick up a good WR in free agency the pressure will be off that reciever to be awesome immediately..

Is Holt a better receiver than Moose? Yes, I think so.

Is Holt a better receiver in this offense than Moose? I have my doubts.

I don't want to write Moose off just yet. He's a year removed from a 1,000-yard season in 2008. Let's see what he can do with a little more time with Moore, as I don't think it's entirely fair to judge any of our receivers by the majority of last season (yes, even Jarrett).

I completely support the idea of Torry Holt playing for the Panthers. the dude is a monster. He has a few more years left in the tank, add him, then draft a kid in the second or third round this year, have Moose, Holt, AND smith teach him how to be a Receiver? Hell yeah. I just came.

if the panthers re-sign moose
