DJ's had plenty of chances, pretty much every other WR we've ever brought in here has done better than him. Rod Gardner and Ryne Robinson as the only guys I can think of that are worse than he is.

It's funny that his last game against backups was pretty close to his production in preseason, i wonder why?

I'm fine with keeping him around, I sure hope 4th time is the charm. But we should move forward as if he's a bust because he is definately in "bust" territory.

I never really saw DJ much in the game and when he was called in, he was never thrown too. How much of that was on Delhomme and how much was that on him?

Assuming we still draft a WR with our first pick, then our top four receivers will most likely be Smith-Moose-Holt-Rookie. That means three of our top four receivers will be on the backside of their career. I don't like the idea.

I would love to see Torry Holt in a Panthers jersey even if it's just for 1 season. If Matt Moore is going to take the next step to being the Panthers franchise QB for years to come we need a legit decent #2 WR. Dwayne Jarrett showed that he can play in that last game of the year so we should sign Holt and let them compete for the #2 spot. I also think we need to use our 2nd round pick to draft a WR that can learn under 2 great WR's in Steve Smith and Torry Holt.

Say what you want, but I don't understand you people that think Jarrett has seen the field so much. If he is that dumb, then who is dumber for keeping him around?

Not only that, how much do you expect him to produce until he is given the chance.....and I haven't seen him drop the ball when thrown to very many times at all. Put it all together, and get back at me.

Jarrett isn't going anywhere until his rookie contract is up so he will definitely be here in 2010. The questions with Holt would be cost and blocking ability. Moose may be old but he is much better blocking in our system while Holt has done his best work in a WCO. If we bring another veteran like Holt in we would likely not draft a WR in the second round. We seem to be trying to cut back payroll not expand it. I don't see us affording both salaries. For me I would rather draft 1 or 2 guys and develop them instead of bring in a veteran like Holt unless of course we could get him for a good price. Holt has a few good years left so he is worth a look. But honestly we have to choose our direction. I could see us going more to the tight ends like Barnidge meaning we won't have a lot of work for more WRs.

After all we are still a running offense no matter what.
