Seriously? He's to old? He is one of the smartest and most productive receivers and had never had a complement like steve smith on the other side of the field. Also he is better than any other receiver on our depth chart excluding smith and should be affordable. Worst case he will be one hell of a mentor and a leader. I don't see any reason to not bring him in unless it becomes a bidding war with another team. Also he said he wants to play here.

I wouldn't mind it, he still has some speed to him. He can run routes and help other WR's develop. I'd rather get Boldin in a trade or something similar though. Even if we pick up a wr through a Trade or FA, I'd also still like to take one in the 2nd.

I wouldn't be opposed to signing him, he put up decent numbers last season. However I would still like the Panthers to invest an early draft pick in a wide receiver.

I dont see why he couldnt be a nice third down receiver.

Like Ricky Proehl. They have every similar styles.

Maybe make a few big third down catchs when finding soft spots in the zone.

Torry Holt is one of my all time favorite receivers. But we already have a veteran guy across from Steve. He may not be as productive, but Torry and Moose both have no more than 3 seasons left.

Because we have TE's that could do the same thing, but do you really think they are used for the ACTUAL potential they have to do that?

I don't, and we haven't since Walls, and Ricky, period. I don't know why, it bugs the sh!t out of me, but we just don't.

Well I think he knows now he is not a #1...but he did have 51 catches for 722 yards and 14.YPC..I think we should look at him and still take a WR in the 2nd

Nothing says smart like pick up an old guy, and cut an up and coming younger player, take away more playing time for him to develop....but hey...it's the Panthers so anything is possible.
