Should have made him interim head coach but tepper is probably afraid he'd stand up to him

Evero didn't want it.  He turned it down in Denver too.

The injuries have been bad across the board defensively and makes his job much more impressive.

Secondary: Horn, Chinn, CJ Henderson, Woods, and Bell have all missed time.

LBs:  Shaq and Grugier Hill for some time

DL: Haynes , Yetur, Burns missed time

He's a real good defensive coach

It is tough, he is def head coach material. I think the concern is the want for a offensive coach to develop Bryce and actually stick around. Slowik is prob gonna he a head coaching candidate next year already, which is the issue with having OC having success with a young qb

He is and I hope there is a way we can retain him. I hope we hire someone who recognizes that. Also hope he just doesnt want out of this poo show and takes another job

Ya know with all the negativity I think with all the injuries to the secondary defense has been pretty impressive. Panthers rank 6th in defensive yards per game. Evero has done a really good job

YPG is a fairly worthless stat, especially given the offensive ineptitude, and they're 30th in ppg. That's the real metric and perhaps it could be better, but the defense does appear to pass the eye test.

I mean does that factor in 4 INTs returned for a Td, the fumbles to give a short field etc

Don't know about the pick 6s, though that wouldn't have a major impact on the average, and the short field is the offensive ineptitude I was tlaking about. It's like how Rhule and co were crowing aboutbeing #2 in yards allowed in 2021 but they were still bottom half in points allowed; the two are interrelated, but it's ultiamtely about keeping teams off the scoreboard.

He is under contract so as long as the new HC doesn't have a DC he prefers, Evero will be with us another year. Unless he gets plucked for a HC gig himself.

The offense has given them awful field position. Mix in all the missed 4th downs, INTs, and fumbles its dam near a miracle whats evero done. Hes also had the whole season without horn and many games missed form chinn, woods, bell, shaq, YGM, houston, haynes, henderson. Even Djack, luvu, and burns have missed games. The depth is a joke and somehow its been good enough to win all games but like 2.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
