From Joe Person's summary in The Athletic...

Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper said he does possess patience despite firing three coaches in-season since buying the team.

Boy, If that line doesn't say it all 😄

He seems to possess patience is areas he shouldn’t, like Rhule last year or Fitt, then areas he should, like correctly building the team.

So we lowly fans should all just sit back and accept that our billionaire owner runs a sh-tty team and be happy that we're getting to watch football regardless of whether it's good or not?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'll decline.

I don't think anybody here is of the mind that conversing on a message board is going to change anything, but it's what fans do in a sport talk forum.

I mean yeah you pretty much are gonna have to sit back and accept it. Cause, as you have pointed out, anything we say on this board means squat.

In fact you learn more in life from being wrong and not repeating that than to be "right" all the time.

And?

where does it say the coaches wanted someone else?

They get carried away as usual.  Tepper wasn't calling plays and didn't overrule everyone by selecting Young.  You could tell Fitt wanted Young the whole time.  Thomas Brown is a big Young guy as well.  Everyone wants a scapegoat, but this mess was a collaborated effort.

I mean its becoming a universal thought at this point.  With so much smoke.......

Someone in Carolina was going to take the fall for this at some point, even though it is the widespread belief in NFL circles that Tepper pushed for the drafting of the diminutive Young over Stroud, who has the prototypical size and accuracy of the type of quarterback Reich has tended to prefer over the course of his coaching career.

That echoes what Stephen Holder said about it being "an open secret" around the league.

Yes it is but as you say ‘it is a sports talk forum

Extrapolated, not one person on here knows what actually went on.  It is conjecture, not facts

I do not  know David Tepper    I can make my own judgements based on results   Who knows whether those are right or not.    The same is true of every poster on this board

No one is ‘lowly’ but no one on this board’s knowledge or experience is superior to anyone else’s either.

Oh sweet

another

”belief” /speculation link

no different than you throwing random crap at the wall.

Ill take what someone says as certain from someone who personally knows someone who was in that decision process who you are even claiming wanted someone else.

but yeh.  I think, or speculate.   Is far more believable

Yet people are confidently saying that Tepper is telling the truth, despite reporting to the contrary.

If "no one knows" then why should that viewpoint be believed either?

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
