Is Young safe?

New coach, no set allegiance

This new coach unless they are coming here STRICTLY for a money grab does not have an allegiance to Young. 

A new head coach must be able to look ownership in the eye and say Young will be evaluated but not pencilled in as the starter/captain. No more fluff pieces about super processor crap. 

A legit coach can either turn around Young (McDaniels with Tua, Pederson with Lawrence) or simply say he is not good enough to run a pro NFL offense and look to the draft and FA to bring in legitimate competition

then we're destined to doom because Young is not a sure fire NFL QB. He is a MAYBE but not a guarantee

Why?   They have to develop him.  There is no other choice.   So they will choose the best tandem that builds around his strenghts.

 

He can be a good NFL QB and many coaches and execs will agree even if you don't.

They won’t get anyone if the job is contingent on fixing Bryce. They’ll sign like Pete Carmichael.

but you see there are alos many coaches and execs that feel the exact opposite especially now with what we've seen and thats a problem

Tepper is all in on Bryce. I fully expect any GM/HC to be saddled with Bryce and that to further limit our appeal. Bryce is getting at least one more year to scramble around and float wounded ducks.

exactly, you make the pool significantly smaller if thats the case

And the coaches/execs won't be considered.  Plenty of coaches (well at least Flores) weren't interested in Tua but McDaniels was 100% bought in.  

That's the only way for this team to succeed in the next 3 years.

Only going to get retreads or lower ranked assistants at this point. Nobody in their right mind wants to do damage to their resume. If you're coming here and stuck with a qb who lacks all the tools required to be a starting nfl qb you're either not highly thought of around the nfl to start or just taking the job because you have no other options.
