We are arguing which of two rbs deserve to be in the HOF more, here are numbers based on their best three years. The rbs will not be named due to bias reasons

RB #1

1,106 carries, 5,296 yards, 4.8 ypc, 49 tds

Playoffs:

1,140 yds, 12 tds, 5.6 ypc in 8 games

RB #2

1,059 carries, 4,960 yards, 4.7 ypc, 60 tds

Playoffs: 355 yds, 4 tds, 3.9 ypc in 5 games

What do you guys think...?

A little on number 2, but it is the .3 range.

rb#1 math = wrong by 3 yards = same ypc as rb#2

Rushing yards alone won't win an argument this close. Expand the scope of the data considered. Years, receiving, total yds incl special teams, etc.

Can't really do that, it would who they are away, and they were two totally different style backs so receiving would be unfair.

Receiving is fair for a HOF consideration IMO. Especially if RB#1 has more receiving yds/tds than #2. HOF is about who is the best football player, not about a specific category.

#1 was more like a supernova, and that's what's keeping him out of serious HOF conversation ...

#2 probably will get in considering longevity, but probably not as slam dunk 1st ballot as previously thought

Thatd be cool if one of them did not get injured after a short amount of years, and the other played for a lot more.

As for receiving it goes to number 2 by a bunch of yards.

Priest Holmes first 3 years in KC (2001-2003)

att - 960

rush yds - 4590

ypc - 4.8

rush tds - 56

rec - 206

rec yds - 1966

rec avg yds - 9.5

rec td - 5

total td - 61

total yds from scrimage - 6556 (2185 avg for 3 years)

1166 touches, 6566 yds, 61 td. Better either of those two. Eligible in 2012 I think.
