defensive issues

I’m new here but would like to discuss our defense

I truly believe we have plenty of talent on our defense but it just seems we lack that true veteran leadership. Dont get me wrong we have vets on the D but if you watch the games it just seems nobody CONSISTENTLY will step up to keep the starting intensity going. Just makes me wonder when someone is going to realize this and get our D back to form. Our D has never been use to being carried by our offense but the 2nd part of this year it has been that way. How will this be fixed and when?

Hopefully in the next 10 days. If Fox focuses on the defense, works with Trgo to try and solve the inconsistency that have shown up over the last half of the season. If that happens, I think everything will be fine. They know what's at stake and I'm sure the few players that have been here before will make a point of keeping everything intense.

I just rewatched the Saints game. I was surprised with the 2nd half. We actually did not play as bad as I had thought originally. We forced NO into a lot of 3rd and long situations but they executed. I noticed that basically the whole game Brees really did not even throw towards Gamble, i think only once. Almost all the completions were to Lucas or Marshalls guy, or they were a dump to a TE. There were 1 or 2 instances in which LBs were confused on coverage on TEs that hurt us. A lot of the plays were honestly just great plays by Colston. The last play of the 2nd half was just a great catch by Colston. The bright side is that Goddfrey Gamble and Harris all played pretty well. But Lucas just got abused repeatedly. He keeps playing the soft stuff and good qbs can pick it apart. I don't see why Gamble did not get the Colston assignment. One thing that really worried me was Haydens play at the DT. He looked especially bad at running plays. And it seemed that he was actually getting pushed off the line on pass plays. We need Kemo and Lewis back real real bad, bad enough it could very well determine our playoff fate.

Do ya think the other teams may be looking at Panther game film looking for weaknesses?
