and another drop lol. Chiefs really blowing their elite D by not giving Mahomes a single weapon. They definitely should've traded for a WR at the deadline, plenty of futures they could've traded. Also Kelce has not been the same player this year, whether that's because of his girlfriend or injuries piling up, idk, but definitely a concern for the Chiefs. Would be much less of one if they didn't have WRs as bad as ours.

Kelce is 34. It's normal.

I really don't understand how KC didn't find a way to keep Tyreek and pay him. If you can pair Mahomes and Tyreek for the foreseeable future you do it. Because if Kelce retires what do they have for weapons? Rice looks like something to work with for the future but what else?

I just saw where this one was headed when KC was absolutely dominating the game but only up 17-7. It felt like they should've been up by three TDs. Seems like that often comes back to bite you in the ass and it but then tonight.

That stat they showed were KC has scored the fewest 2nd half points of everyone in the league, 53, was crazy to see. Teams are eating Kelce alive in the 2nd half of games and challenging the other receivers to beat them, and they can't. Reid also still falls back on his tendency to abandon the run game, which is not a great plan this season.

Their wrs and running backs are bottom of the league. I'd honestly take our groups over theirs and ours suck

Eventually QB's will learn the lesson Brady tried to teach them.  If you want to win multiple championships, you have to take less money so the team can surround you with weapons.  As great as Mahomes is - and he's a far more talented QB that Brady - he can't do it alone.

Brady had a wife far outpacing his earnings anyway so it didn't matter. Maybe kelci can take a pay cut next year but I don't think Mahomes wife can offset his lack of income

You missed the point.  Brady could be single and never work another day in his life.  His wife's earning potential was irrelevant.  Brady wanted to win championships.  He took less money to facilitate that.

We hear players talk all the time about how they want to win championships, compete at the highest level, etc.  All the talking points you expect.  The difference is that most of them don't really mean it.

    • Swinging and missing on another QB will keep us in the cellar for years.  I think 2 of these QBs could be good but they have question marks.  All QBs are risks but Sanders and Ward are not #1 picks in most drafts.  Just my opinion
    • I don't really see the downside of playing Bryce. (and yes I have heard the draft compensation argument and tbh I don't think he has much trade value anyway) Just play him and see what we've got My theory on why Canales won't announce him at the starter is two fold: a.) he doesn't want Bryce to feel the pressure of having to be the franchise savior b.) he's showing the team no one is above evaluation
    • A lot of this is gamesmanship. Of course Canales is going to keep his opponent guessing, even though it may not matter that much. The Dalton comment tells me there's an open question on whether he's worth re-signing. Frankly, the best role he can serve given his age is to play within himself and not commit major mistakes. In other words, keep the seat warm until we eventually find a better guy. Even in that Raiders game, he got really lucky with some passes not being picked. Then his play was hurting us to the point in which Canales didn't immediately throw him back in last Sunday.  For all we know, Canales wants to see if BY could at least be good enough that we don't need Dalton back as a backup anymore. Then bring in his own guy.
