I don't have one personally, but it's the device to get for sure. I'd get one if I could afford it/had more of an interest in reading more books.

I got one a month ago and I'm loving the thing. I read more last month than I had in probably the last 5 years and I just keep going.

1) It keeps up with where you last stopped reading on all books. Its a small thing but never losing your place is nice.

2) I love the instant gratification of being able to find a book that looks interesting and then be reading it a minute later.

3) You can highlight any word while you are reading and it will show you the definition at the bottom of the screen. Good for the vocab.

4) The screen is very easy on the eyes and great for long reading sessions.

5) You have easy access to indie authors for low prices (or free) which exposes me to some great books I would otherwise not read.

6) Generally, new releases that would be $20-30 are available for $10. However, it seems likely that more and more will be as much as $15 in the near future.

Its expensive ($250) for what it is but I highly recommend it.

Gave the wife a Kindle for Xmas, she loves it.

A friend gave my daughter a Sony Reader Pocket Edition, comparitively it's such a POS it's on Ebay and we'll get her a Kindle when it sells.

Project Gutenberg is a great place to get some free classics. Chances are, if the original author has been dead for awhile, you'll find it on there.
